If you plan on spending in free agency, the June 1 designation doesnt help
Yes, it does. Again, this is all accounting. You can structure the contracts to avoid money being on the books until June 2nd.

Which you can do regardless.
I’m not understanding why you’re missing here.
You don’t need to cut Noteboom to do what you are suggesting.
There is no advantage to using the June 1, they would be better off keeping him, getting thru the draft and mini camps and then cut him post June 1.

The advantage is not paying out his roster bonus. Where did you see it's guaranteed?

Because his pre and post 6/1 dead money calculations are the same so it’s assumed so by sportrac and OTC
If it’s not guaranteed then he certainly needs to be cut prior to 3/17
Still have to carry his 20 mill cap charge to June 1, which still doesn’t allow to use the cap savings for free agency

I'm not following. Neither list the roster bonus as guaranteed, and Overthecap shows it as not guaranteed when you look at their dead cap calculations. If you cut Noteboom with a post-June 1st designation, the only dead cap is the $5 million prorated signing bonus from 2024. You save $15 million ($10 million base and $5 million roster bonus).

Yup. Cut him now, saves 5 mill of cap space in ‘24
Basically covers the cost of Alaric Jackson RFA tender
My understanding, per OvertheCap..... Cut him before June 1st you get a 15-mil Dead cap hit and 5-mil in Cap savings.

Cut him Post June 1st and the numbers reverse ; 15-mil Cap savings and only 5-mil Dead Cap

The cap hit is the same.
Post June 1 or prior to results in a 15 mill dead cap hit. Only difference is that post June 1 allows the dead cap to be split with 5 mill dead cap in '24 and 10 mill dead cap in '25
The point that gets misunderstood is that by utilizing the post June 1 designation, you dont realize the cap savings until June 1. If Noteboom is cut with the post June 1 designation, his '24 cap hit of 20 mill will hit the cap until June 1.
Therefore you cant use the "savings" in free agency, at least not the initial wave
