Not saying you aren't a very intelligent fan with extensive knowledge of O lineman but I find it amazing with 2 starts at LT and 4 at G, a guy can be deemed "our best O lineman" or even "our best LT, G" (or whatever).

He's filled in other than starting. Watch the tape and not the stat sheet.

I mean, it doesn't make a lot of sense to me for them to ask Allen to take a pay cut then cut him later but teams have done it. I'd imagine it leaves a bad taste in the players mouth. That being said, Jourdan has a crazy high accuracy when it comes to these things.

That being said, I'd be happy with Shelton at C, Allen cut for cap savings, and drafting a C in the draft for the future and think that's our best course of action.

I think i solved the Allen pay cut mystery...This podcast ep was released 6 days before Allen agreed to a pay cut

The pay it may signal that they prefer to have Allen as an expensive backup over if Shelton goes down and then they have no depth. Id wager OL depth is a BIG issue in the Rams building rn

Really no need to be a smart ass. Yes, he's "filled in" admirably. 52 snaps against Minnesota in 2021....when Edwards started but had to move back to G. And 60 snaps, when Anchrum went down this year. Plus 6 starts, 2 at LT and 4 at G. I watch every game and then the replays 2 or 3 times, so spare the condescending bullshit. But maybe you ought to look at the stat sheet once in a while! What exactly has he shown you in 6 starts and 2 relief appearances over 2 years (about 110 snaps at LT)? Other than not being injured, but clotted?

1 on 1’s Arcuri shows good footwork.Who knows what his career will look like. He got CUT & put on the practice squad behind Bobby Evans .
Evans kept convincing the coaches that he can block people when he know his assignments. And he probably knows his assignments during practice. However, in the games, when other teams do stunts, Evans was clueless.

I surely hope so, although I will never wager on what McSnead really have in mind. I have my doubts on Allen becoming a CAP Casualty so soon after being restructured, especially when taking in our lack of depth at Center & OG. An offensive lineman who can cover us at both C/OG appears to be the right fit this year imo, this is why I like TCU's Steve Avila over John Michael-Schmitz for us, and just maybe he makes it to our #69 draft pick, although I'd readily consider adding a 2024 pick to move up for him.
As for Noteboom, I'm not quite as ready as others to give up on him starting at LT this next season. It really depends on whether his health is 100% at the beginning of camp. McSnead don't seem like the type to throw an injured player under the bus without a second chance. If the Rams can rehab Noteboom to his earlier Whitworth days, then I'd suspect we can recover some lost value. If Boom gets his act together up until the trade deadline, we may still create both a 2024 draft pick for ourselves, but also a good degree of CAP savings going forward. Either way, it's very difficult for me to see Noteboom being a part of the 2024 roster. While I'd like to imagine the Rams adding 2-3 new OL during this draft, I would not be surprised by zero. jmo.

Bump.

Don't ever recall a player getting a restructure and then cut shortly afterward. Wondering why or how this would benefit either Allen or the Rams

Didn’t the Rams restructure tavon austin before trading him to the cowboys?

Jourdon joked about her weight & is looking a little thick.I love her insight & knowledge. She is adding her opinion on Brian Allen & Joesph Noteboom & I don’t think she ever saw Noteboom play guard.

If HISTORY tells me anything is Noteboom is penciled in at LT & Jackson at LG.
How depth plays out is another thing.Brian Allen & Shelton Coleman will battle it out at Center!!
Now finding out who goes where & what is best under Wendle/Kromer is ALL up in THE AIR!! Anchrum,Acuri,Bruss & Thomas work their way in to slots. Big Rob will still be the leader of the group.

The Rams will bring in YOUTH & give everyone a chance to compete. They should get some of THE BEST UDRFA O”Lineman!!
—I expect The Rams to ADD VALUE as well!! So who knows what The OFFSEASON will bring ?

I will add that The Rams finding a BIGGER RB &/or Blocking TE is a must to cover up at times The Rams OT’s.

Add only 2 TE’s in 2022 ?
Practice squad guys don’t count.
Mcvay is still trying to figure out who HIT him UPSIDE his HEAD in 2022.

Now if this should a NEGATIVE it should. Les Snead & Sean Mcvay
need to get it TOGETHER!!
—COVID ATWELL was not the prescription & THE XRAFT HOUSE of Les Sneads Garage.

Now Raheem Morris has been 2 CLOSE to RAMS DRAFT PICKS 2021 & 2022. Maybe The Briwn Bro’s & CB22 will be on him ? E. Jones is pretty sweet!

Jourdan revealed 2023 DRAFT HOUSE. Maybe The Rams can throw Bruss into the POOL & doesn’t washout?

Maybe there is hope.

It basically says that the Rams talked to him before his workout, but he could end up being a first round pick.

Either way they had some interest in the highest guard. That’s gotta be a good thing.
Looks like the Titans took him to dinner. He's a great fit for them so they may be one of those teams calling to move up to 36 if he's on the board (they're at 41).

Thinking @Loyal has another tough round 2 ahead... :beer2::bigcry:

Jourdan is definitely an insider, but I think we’re a long way from knowing who will be starting on the OL on opening day.
It has taken me two days to listen to this podcast (thank you for posting @simonblaze) but Jourdan Rodrigue uses the words 'in my opinion' and 'I think' and 'my best guess'.

I believe she knows what she is talking about, and her opinions should be valued but I don't know that these 'predictions' are based on inside knowledge.

She definitely gets the benefit of bouncing shit off the Rams. Not all press take advantage of it like she does, so it's to her cred. But being able to phrase things to them and read their reactions even when they don't say much should in fact give her inside knowledge for making good guesses which she does.

That said I don't take any media type's opinion as fact. And what I like about her is she makes guesses like fans do with hope behind it so she seems like she is fully in with us. Which, again, is not the case with all these guys.

This is the thing that kills me. Kendrick ran a slow 40. So he's a liability. Yet fans always say, "don't go after the workout warriors and terrific measurables. Take the guys with production". Kendrick played in the SEC and did pretty well. Named Defensive MVP of the Orange Bowl IIRC. And though he's susceptible to "long speed" he didn't kill the Rams......that falls on the lack of pressure.
Yeah but his position is one where speed is a difference maker vs say like WR where they can not be as fast but run crisp routes or just have a feel when to sit on a route. I think Kendrick would be better at safety though, but who knows, if he works with a speed coach, maybe he can mix that with better anticipation and experience to do better. How much better that would make him is very debatable.

Evans was the garbage that the trashman forgot to pick up. I'm sorry but he was so fucking terrible. Hopefully I'm not going against the rules cuz he's actually not a Ram (thank God) anymore lol

Oh I agree with you 100%

I couldn't understand why McVay kept playing him but I am wondering if he showed something during practice and then shit the bed in the games.

And each week McVay would look at the practices and go - well maybe he turned the corner this week.

That's all I can think of

Yeah it's hard to figure out what they saw in him. At least Stafford no longer has to worry about him lol
