Why so many here disregard the fact that Allen, when healthy, is a plus starter at Center is a bit of a mystery. OK we should have injury concerns but perhaps we should wait and see before writing him off? I like him and his dedication. He went to a pro bowl if memory serves - almost certainly voted there by his peers - so does that make him potentially an important pivot if we are to play well again on offense?

IMO it was a mistake to not find a young swing backup guard/center.Brian Allen is small & so is Coleman Shelton.
—Baker Mayfield gave Brian Allen phrase when he called the O’Line for him against the Raiders. So he knows the offense.
—————
What is done is done.

LT Noteboom /
LG A’ Jackson
C - Allen/Coleman
RG Anchrum/Bruss
RT Big Rob

I think drafting a Rookie OT is a must.Arcuri has skill, but needs to be coached up.(practice squad)

Jourdon is out of her MIND think Noteboom can play guard. She said she thinks Jackson is The Rams best LT because he is such a cool-cat. Add Whitworth might help coach them up.
Mcvay said they were going to take their time with Noteboom.
She really doesn’t know what’s going on & Wendle still hasn’t coached any of The Ram Players.

—She also says Higbee would make sense to cut & The Rams need 2 TE’s from the draft. It’s a deep TE draft. She also said she likes the Center from Penn St.
( who ?)
She is out of the loop, but gets good info & I like her as a reporter very much.

You brought up another point that I think I understand a bit better. I never saw Allen as a plus starter. I can only judge his blocking ability. I talked to a college Center and actually brought Allen up. He said so that McVay valuing Allen so much could be things like his knowledge, processing what he sees and consistently calling the correct reads at the LOS, snapping consistency and touch. So, maybe that is why, myself and others weren’t quite as impressed with Allen. His blocking was t something to rave about.

McVay used to say how much he loved John Wolford. We couldn’t really see why, when watching him on the field. It almost seems that McVay loves players that are like he is. He was a star in high school. He was undersized, very intelligent, strives for perfection and has a great work ethic.

Per Jourdan's speculation:
Alaric Jackson will be team's starting LT...
Coleman Shelton is the team's best option at C...
Brian Allen likely a post June 1 cut...
Noteboom to G once he returns from injury...
Key word in that post is "speculation". We can all speculate, though Jordan certainly has the edge over any of us.

I speculate, Noteboom will be the LT, Jackson the LG, a rookie C in the middle, Anchrum at RG and Havenstein at RT.

It's probable, neither Jordan nor I (or anybody else) will be right or wrong until September

Expensive backup material!!!!!!
But a backup he is! Is he expensive for a backup?
You bet, but a as backup he won't get Stafford Killed from the bench.
Mistakes are always expensive, but everybody makes them. You correct the error and move on to the next idea.

Did not forget Boom, cause he'll be backup at LT and LG
His best positions..

train

Look at you Train - growing a pair.- wonder what would be scarier. Noteboom playing LG or RT ?
I still believe Noteboom is The Rams starting LT.A’Jackson said(tweeted) he was going to be starting at LG. The Rams also didn’t PAY him that much to sit The Bench!

I still believe you could be right though in only 1 Sense that he would be the backup LT.

Jourdon is ABSOLUTELY out of HER MIND if Noteboom plays GUARD. That’s like saying Brian Allen is going to be The Rams backup GUARD!!!

It sort of makes me sick in a lot of senses that this is a issue with Joesph Noteboom & Brian Allen.

This MESS is on Sean Mcvay. He needs to know his personnel.Bobby Evans being a backup anything is THE RESULT!!
FREAKING (SAD) FUNNY that Bobby Evans was healthy all season, until he was FINALLY CUT!! He also got Matthew Stafford(Kupp as well) hurt.

All The Raheem Morris HATERS need to listen to that whole interview? I don’t know what was going on ??
Mcvay and his suit at The NFL meeting was HIDEOUS!!

The draft & beginning of OTA’s will help clarify what Wendle/Kromer might be thinking.

My only point in all of this is really The Rams should have found Noteboom & Allen’s replacement by last season.2022 lossing was mainly because of the neglect of building an offensive line for the future.
—They spend all those 1st rd. picks for QB’s & the results speak for themselves. In 2023 IMO will be alright, but really need to find a newer structure.

You’ve really gone off the DEEPEND. Not really like you.
- you can give up on Joesph & I’ll pray to Marry. My thoughts are still with Noteboom being alright right.

Peace be with you Ram Bro

Jourdan agrees. She said as much in the video. She didn’t like either signings last summer.

I also found it interesting when she said Robinson was put in a box instead of played to his strengths.

Many Rams fans think he’s done. Some outside this forum seem to think he didn’t try.

McVay really strayed from some of his usual tendencies last year. I’m glad now that they are doing a reboot. It sounds like they have learned some lessons from a coaching standpoint, personally, and in cap management. I’m excited to see what the adjustments are and how they get fixed.

In my post in regards to Boom, I've stated my opinion of him many times in the past, nothing new.

Who says HAS ? I’m not going to fall for it. You can believe what you want & think the same way.

I for one still think
Noteboom LT
Jackson LG
?? At center ??

My question in all of this HAS 2 is The 2 starting Guards

100% agreed, he's our best LT and it's not close. Makes no sense to start Note at LT simply because he's not good at G (Reality is he's not good at either) Noteboom belongs on the bench as a swing T and hopefully he finds a better fit next offseason with another team. I like some of Arcuri's tape, hopefully he can step in to that swing T role next year.

Shoutout to those that have posted about this, wanted to post a link to the full EP. IMO worth a listen/watch

Q: So Note, Anchrum and Bruss are guards fighting for starting positions? A: My guess is this eliminates a FA but will include an IOL Draft Pick within their top 3 picks.
Q: Who backs up Shelton at OC? A: My guess is a Draft Pick within their top 3 picks in or scrap heap FA.

I mean, it doesn't make a lot of sense to me for them to ask Allen to take a pay cut then cut him later but teams have done it. I'd imagine it leaves a bad taste in the players mouth. That being said, Jourdan has a crazy high accuracy when it comes to these things.

That being said, I'd be happy with Shelton at C, Allen cut for cap savings, and drafting a C in the draft for the future and think that's our best course of action.
