i predict next head scratcher is Trading Tyler Higbee before the deadline
That would be a real head scratcher.

I don’t think we’re going to be inundated with offers for a 31yo who is currently on the PUP list and coming off a serious injury.

I doubt it as well. More likely is trading Atwell (and promoting Smith) or even A-Jax if McClendon impresses at left tackle.

Very interesting but at least McVay is consistent, getting the best 5 OL on the field. Though the positions of Jackson and Avilla is all that's changing I guess so meh

Amazing all the drama here the last week or so. It's feeling like a daily soap opera being a Rams fan!

Well we know Avvila is very good at LG and JJackson is an unknown. Might make sense to flip them.. Avila might even make Noteboom better.

Makes me feel better this has been the deal since before last week's Houston game. So not something they just decided to do today. So at least three weeks to get used to change... I'm sure they'll be fine.

This means Avila has not exactly wowed them in his calls. If he had, it would not be considered.

Also could mean they expect Limmer to "arrive" soon so why not pre-move the boys to accommodate that.

Or…they just liked Jackson an iota more.

Just click through, Jourdan posts long thread. Nothing surprising here, kinda what we thought.

Basically, with questions at tackle, Avila at LG and Jackson at C may give them best line with replacements right now. May not be permanent but I suspect (this is me now) this will be what it is for the season even when tackles return unless Jackson craps the bed.

Said this move has been going on behind the scenes for a while so not so last minute.

Avila can just do so much from run and screen game at LG.

There's even a Madden reference about moving players!

Now I see. Avila is proven at left guard. I still think Avila's our center of the future (I say this while also saying that I love Limmer), but he was our best offensive lineman last year as a rookie - and that was with Dotson, Havenstein, and A-Jax. He's a bulldozer at left guard, but an even better pass protector.

Our line is a mess at the moment. I still think that McClendon is a good swing tackle option in case of injury to Noteboom or if Havenstein can't go for this game.

I'm not going to lie: I'm very concerned at tackle for at least the next two games, and I don't trust A-Jax nearly as much as I did before.

Should have never moved him.

At least if Jackson gets hurt, we have a promising center backing him up
