No confirmation yet, but a damn good signing if true. Rams young secondary could use another vet besides Fuller.f

Yeah, I don't consider Ellenbogen a reliable source for confirming. Seems like an assumption with him being at camp yesterday. If we do sign him I'm not sure what that says about our young guys. Seemed like Lake and Yeast had been getting a lot of praise so far in camp. JJ wasn't too popular in Cleveland so not sure if he'd be an improvement or not at this point.

Jake Ellenbogen is reliable and had the selections of Stetson Bennett & Warren McClendon well before anyone else. He has a very reliable source within the Rams organization. It's done.

Well, you're wrong, Jake has a very reliable source within the Ram organization. After this signing, I bet you will consider him a reliable source.

Now if I am wrong, I will post it, but Jake has never let us down so this is done IMHO.

That's true so will see. JJ3 has never been a speedy guy and the few times i saw him play last year he looked even slower but like you said might just have been the situation. Hopefully being in LA rejuvenates him and he brings some valuable veteran leadership to our backend.

Not especially, maybe over time if he decides to be a bit more of a professional in his reporting and general social media presence. Not saying I don't believe he might have a source but my impression of him is still that of a fan blogger and not a legitimate journalist. Some of the fits he threw this offseason was ridiculous. Surprised anyone in Rams organization would still talk to him after that.

But of those three you mentioned two were kind of no brainers. Stetson was known for a long time before the draft to be a target and JJ3 was at practice yesterday. Not too hard to take a swing on those two. McClendon is a good one if he actually reported that at the point of them being on the clock.

Jake has been working hard to build his career, but he’s still young and untrusted.
That doesn’t mean he’s being mocked. He just has a ways to go, in an industry full of untrustworthy “sources”.

I am happy for the guy. The career that he has worked so hard for, is on the rise and it’s well deserved.

Okay I know Jake personally so I might have to recuse myself from this, but I do know, he has a very reliable source within the Ram organization, was the first to report that Stetson Bennett was being drafted by the Rams and i trust him unequivocally on the Johnson signing.
