Actually, I quite enjoyed the one game I saw in the dome and it was a pretty cool place to watch a game. That place was half empty and it was still rockin. I can only imagine what it was like during the GSOT years. Of course, it may have been the loud ROD contingent that was rockin the joint.

Lighten up Angry. Frankly - this IS bad football. It’s still entertaining but not for the skill being demonstrated.

THIS bad? I really don’t think so. But of course I tend to black out after too many consecutive losses.

Never happened.

I’ll choose to enjoy it by laughing. Yets vs Browns living up to my expectations.
One of my regrets is not going to a game in St. Louis. Seemed like a good trip.

Mayfield already looks better then Taylor. He actually reminds me of Goff a lot. Really good at moving around the pocket and surveying the field.
Huh. Reminds me nothing of Goff. Too much body into the ball, looks to bail rather than stand in and throw, head lower, looks way shorter and stockier.

What's the reasoning behind that fumble rule inside of 2 minutes? I don't get why it's a rule??
That rule is due to the Stabler Fumblerooski or better known as the "Holy Roller" in September 1978 where Kenny Stabler purposefully fumbled the ball forward after getting hit on the last play of the game so that they could have a chance to recover the football and get it into the end zone. It actually worked and the Raiders won the game against the Chargers.

I guess some teams saw that and started purposely fumbling the ball forward in the last minutes of the half or game so the NFL made the rule where you can't advance a fumble by your teammate in the last two minutes of the half or game.

And yes - I am old and was actually watching that game when that happened.

Did you see Crowell's td celebration? He wiped his ass with the football, like it was tissue paper and then turned and threw the ball into the crowd. It's on the internet now if you google it. Pretty classless!

Mayfield came in the game for 1 series and has more passing yards (47) than Darnold (45) or Taylor (19) in their entire 1st half. Lol

There must be some history there with the fans. They must have booed him alot when he played for the browns.

It's the negative vibes that bother me, man.

Sam Darnold is a rookie QB. Browns actually thought Tyrod would be a stud QB, but they were wrong. C'mon, this isn't Arizona or Buffalo bad.

I’ll choose to enjoy it by laughing. Yets vs Browns living up to my expectations.

I've been laughin at the crowd. The Jets are gonna be a good team sooner rather than later if they keep building right.

me neither. I have no problem with you having a different opinion. Just stop telling me what to do. I'm watching because its entertaining. Even if it is bad football.

It's not about different opinions. It's about the constant negative vibes towards the NFL in general which you seem to want to put out at every opportunity. I don't think anyone here is as negative towards it as you bubba, and whether it's you or anyone else I will argue against it. Every time.

In my old life the NFL has gotten through some low times, and now in my current life I'm enjoying the hell out of it and it's something I love, not complain about it.

All the off field stuff, refs, rules, has not ruined football and games like this aren't an "embarrassment". If you or anyone else feels otherwise, just be prepared because again, I will argue against it every time.

Probably because way back when, as time was running out, players used to "fumble" on 3rd down or 4th down when they were tackled and their teammates would progress the ball.

.

I’m at work and unable to watch but I believe it’s from the Chargers/Raiders game back in the day when Stabler was quarterback and the Raiders, as time was running out, fumbled then recovered in the end zone after kicking the ball forward.

That rule is due to the Stabler Fumblerooski or better known as the "Holy Roller" in September 1978 where Kenny Stabler purposefully fumbled the ball forward after getting hit on the last play of the game so that they could have a chance to recover the football and get it into the end zone. This is why this is the best place on the planet. I had never heard of this Holly Roller rule, even after watching football for nearly two decades. Thanks for the lesson in football history my dudes.

I’m thinking it also disproves the idea that these players don’t read what is being said about them.

I loved that Dome. So many memories sitting next to my Dad. Beating the Broncos by only kicking FG's in Scott Linehan's time. Chris Chandler IIRC fumbling the ball at Seattles one yard line to loose the game. Steven Jackson running it in for the win in OT against the Skins on Christmas eve. Janoris Jenkins recovering that Kapernick fumble to help lift us over the 49ers after playing to a tie earlier in the year. Every time the dome was rocking, the only time I ever felt it was "dead" was in the preseason. It wouldn't hold up to modern stadiums, but growing up it was always Home Dome.

And I'll continue to voice my opinion weather you like it or not Angry. You are so easy to bait, I know you've had a problem with my posts for a while now. I'll stop baiting you if you have such thin skin. Besides, its not fair to the other posters.

If you don't like something I post, PM me and we'll work it out.

You wanna keep chewing me out for my opnion, go right ahead, I got more azz than you got teeth.

Maybe they need to change the color of the football since he threw doo doo into the crowd...

Is that what you think you're doing? Baiting me and my "thin skin"? No, like I said I'm going against your constant negative vibes to something I'm passionate about. Nothing more nothing less.

Both of you please...

Sorry Prime, that last one I couldn't let it pass without responding. I'll do so here, with respect to you.
