Yeah, and now he doesn't have the weirdo owner lording over everything he does. He can build the team the way he wants to here, and he is. I went through and analyzed his down years, and there are very good reasons for them. But the one thing that stood out to me was how his teams played when they were decimated with injuries or going through cap hell and fielding less than stellar rosters.
I mean they REALLY played hard, and he got the most out of those players.
The one anomaly that I've seen, and maybe it's a monkey on his back that continues to this day, is that he can't seem to put Belichick out of his misery. In fact, the majority of those games were really bad for Fisher. I'd like to see his SB win here come against the patriots - and for more than one reason.
