I didn't think they would spend money on defense and I would had been okay if we didn't. I just didn't want to waste a 1st rounder on a CB or any defensive players out of college . I felt if we get defensive players it should be via FA, and that's what they did .... Snead must be reading my post here on ROD.

All we need is a big WR in the draft to compliment Puka, a LB in free FA to help Landman out on coverages and a Center. Then maybe find some ST players.

We seem to do a lot better drafting defensive players.

There is an article that stated the Rams aren't looking to replace Stafford anytime soon. They're probably going to replace at least one but I just have a feeling about that 13th pick. Or maybe a third or fourth to try to develop. If Stafford goes down we're going to need better than the currently unsigned Bennett if we're going all in.
Also, I'm pretty sure someone's going to want Garoppolo. Just a gut feeling really the way they build for the future.

I have my doubts Shula can orchestrate a scheme the way Spags can, to take advantage of the press coverage ability of these two CB’s.

But I have faith Mcvay and Shula will grind out the scheme until it’s right.

Better coverage will give the DL that half a step they were off by last season. No more throwing 50/50 balls to avoid the sack, the pass rush will get home.
