Although that's true, it's also true that our db's were pretty awful. Rams certainly needed to upgrade the secondary. Mission accomplished.

I agree.... But I knew the upgrade wouldn't come in the form of a college draft pick.... and thank god. They did it the right way through FA, like I have been stating for over a month.... But even with that I didnt think they would open the wallet that wide.... Now if they can open it a wee bit more for a LB that is a stud in coverage...... we might be unbeatable next season.

Exactly what we need! A great outside CB with length and tackling ability! If the Rams stay put at 13, expect them to take the best player available, regardless of position. All things being equal, with the secondary now addressed, I'd prefer WR.

Forbes and Durant are good depth guys but wonder if they request trade now.

I’d think draft priorities are now Tackle Edge and IOL, considering free agent losses next year.

I want one more impact defender though. If we got Lloyd I would go to bed and sleep well.

Durant is a free agent; and Forbes has a fairly low-cap-hit.

I'd add another capable run stuffer behind Poona Ford as a big need. I'd want this before an edge. Stewart already looks good in a backup role. We can further succession plan for losing Byron Young next off-season, if we don't retain BY. But we have nobody behind Ford. When he is out, the run defense transforms from amazing to awful. This is quietly a big need for me, albeit one we should be able to fill with a mid range draft pick, or medium expense free agent. A long term injury to Ford, or a post-season to injury to Ford, sinks this defense against elite running games IMO. And you'll need to face a few of those on route to a Super Bowl.

You know I’ve been banging that table hard for awhile. Like a broken record.
Mojo banging the table....

So I gotta believe we will draft one of the following at 13th pick WR Lemon / TE Kenyon Sadiq or WR Cooper Jr at the top of our draft board
Why do I think they might grab a quarterback at 13?

Maybe because they claim they're not looking for one?

Maybe because we don't have anybody signed behind Stafford?

Just a weird gut feeling?
Hell I don't know. :)

I have my doubts Shula can orchestrate a scheme the way Spags can, to take advantage of the press coverage ability of these two CB’s.

But I have faith Mcvay and Shula will grind out the scheme until it’s right.

Simpson at 13 simply cannot be discounted out of hand. I say way less likely than more but cant be ruled out.
