It is hilarious that you still think the two are remotely comparable.
That was mostly sarcasm to what Dan Campbell said

I am not comparing Stafford to Goff in that statement

Just saying that is a crappy thing to a QB that was doing a decent job before his three best offensive playmakers got injured.

And Dan should really be focusing on his defense which is possibly the worst defense in the history of the NFL (at least so far)

And really??? that's what you took from that statement.

I have yet to compare Goff to Stafford since the first month after the trade

The only thing I have done is support Goff against all the Goff haters. And there are a few in this forum who only say negative things about Goff.

The closest I have ever compared Goff to Stafford is when I said that Stafford is a top 10 QB where Goff is a top 20 QB

Fair enough. That may have been one of the unnecessary asshole comments I specialize in time to time.

I'm not a hater and not saying you were referring to me. I wanted Jared to take that next step as a QB so bad but it just didn't happen. I will always appreciate that Super Bowl he helped lead us to. That second half he had against the Saints in the NFC Championship game was incredible in a insanely loud hostile environment.

I’ll never forget Goffs near perfect regular season game against the Vikings and his contributions in the greatest Monday night football game in history against the Chiefs. Thought we had the next Dan Marino then.

Nope you aren't one of the ones who I am referring to.

I don't have a problem with people who critique Goff's play.

I only have problems with people who say he should be out of the league or a backup at most.

Now if you want a top 10 QB which is hard to find (only 10 teams can have one) - then I can see going with a different QB.

And if Detroit thinks there is a top 10 QB in this year's draft - then I can see them drafting a QB if that QB is available.

Next great QB imho is either Payton's son or even possibly the current USC QB - he impresses me but he needs to read defenses better.

However, I think Detroit should focus on defense this year because the QBs coming out this year are good but top 10? - not sure (even if USC QB comes out this year - not sure if he can)

Yeah I don’t think of Goff as top 10–until I try to fill out who the other 9 would be. Then I think maybe he is. Just because Staff is great doesn’t mean Goff is trash. He could light it up when he had TG3 in his prime.

Goff "one of the biggest reasons" OC Ben Johnson-- in his own words-- didn't leave Detroit for a potential HC position.

Johnson has put together a formidable offense in Detroit. He is now one of the hottest young coaches in the NFL. We now also learn that Bengals HC and former Rams QB coach Zac Taylor, who appears to know something about coaching QBs, never lost confidence in Goff.

The Athletic article-- recommend reading the original--- makes clear that the Detroit offense is substantially based on Johnson's personal and schematic partnership with Goff. They had three very serious days of one on one, nuts and bolts discussions together early in the 2022 offseason about how and what plays would actually work-- including Goff explaining Rams' plays to Johnson. The offense also includes giving Goff a lot more authority to call and change plays than he had with the Rams.

It's shocking to discover that actual, real, two way communication and trust between a QB and coach leads to positive results.

I’ve got nothing but love for Goff. Not a weirdo like Wentz.. just had a cap on what he can do. Stopped developing. Maybe it was work ethic, maybe it was coaching, maybe that was the best he had.

Glad Rams moved on, but no ill will,
I vote the latter.
