Jared Goff on The Pivot

Today was rough but every QB has those occasionally. As far as his season so far, I'm not at all surprised. Always thought the kid was a good QB who could put up points if you protect him and give him capable targets. The Lions are scoring in bunches.
The Rams did that for him and they scored in bunches too.

He needed seasoning though. That's always the thing... pocket QBs need time and the running QBs succeed faster out of the gate. If the pocket QB can hang around long enough to get some real experience, he will light you up.

The trade was really a unique one in that one fanbase (Lions) got behind us in a big way.
Goff still gets a lot of love here, and a lot of hate, and some in between, but I think most Rams fans wish him the best.

I think it's good sportsmanship to show some support for an ex player, one that was drafted by us and had shown some talent and a degree of commitment and success.
Goff ticks all the boxes there.

And the thing is I counted 5 drives that they could have attempted a FG but the coach decided to go for it even on 4th and 9 at the 32 and they were trailing 6-0 at that point. Talk about not having any confidence in their placekicker. Plus I think the coach does not have any confidence in his defense.

Plus they had 2 or 3 4th and 1 that they failed with a run up the middle.

It was just one of those days lol.

Same old story. No idea why the refs hate that franchise, but I've noticed Detroit getting a lot of poor calls for years now. The Detroit Lions would lose enough games all on their own, even without the zebras screwing them. Talk about kicking a team when they're down.

We’ve tried that. This board’s obsession with Goff on both sides of the sentiment is strong. There’ll be a brand new thread within a week.

I’d recommend that if folks don’t like ANYTHING they see or read on this board…they simply exit the thread and move on. PM the mods or report it, if it’s something serious.

This admin team is pretty loose on most things except for members who are a one note instrument of negativity.

The Lions problem has been their defense (34 ppg allowed, last in the league by a good margin). But that offense has good pieces and if they can't win games they will start questioning whether Goff is good enough.

I think regardless of wins the rest of the season they draft a QB this year. Two first rounders ours looking like middle of the round and theirs should get them their guy with a good QB draft this year. Even if they win out which with that defense will never happen.

Yeah losing Brown and Swift has really hurt the lions.

They didn't have a lot of playmakers with them and now they are really down to Hock and Williams

Reynolds was a 4th WR for us and couldn't make it on our team and he is the number 1 receiver for gawd sake.

Plus that interception sucked. I stopped watching after I saw the Refs were letting the cowboys win.
