An off season of media and opposition fan scrutiny had all of us irritated daily. Everybody doubting him after a year playing behind an injured and makeshift OL and a RB who wasn’t much help.

Now we have a full time experienced OC allowing McVay to focus on play calling. He’s in yarn given Jared more ownership of the offense and we’re seeing him blossom before our eyes. The best part is the league and the media is seeing it as well. We might actually see a little respect put on his name outside of the Ramily.

The OLine playing better and McVays scheme is certainly helping.

Also read he’s PFFs third rated QB behind ARod and Rodgers. Loving what we’ve seen from our guy and the upcoming schedule should see more from #16 as well.

And Lamar hasn't played yet this week.

Also, Goff's overall completion % is 70%. He's on pace to have a great year when prorated over 16 games.

70% completion (would be career high by 5.1%)
4,603 yards passing
171 yards rushing
27 passing tds / 11 int
5 rushing tds

For me, there are a handful of QBs I'd love to see run this McVay offense. But saying "handful" means we're in pretty good shape moving forward.

If he continues working as hard as he does to improve, this guy could end up being on a short list of good QBs from this era.

Goff is an absolute surgeon with the ball in his hands. You give him time, he'll pick defenses apart, and he always gets back up, no matter how far or how much he's knocked down.

I'd take Goff as my quarterback any day, and especially Sundays. (Yes, I know that Mahomes is great, but we beat him on Monday Night, and Goff outdueled him.)

One thing I haven't seen mentioned with Goff is his full control now at the line of scrimmage. He is performing final checks there under Center now and each play has a counter he can flip to if he doesn't like the look. So he has to evaluate the threats and make the call and so far he's kicking ass.

It's significant IMO and of course nobody talks about it because McVay probably gives him hand signals since he's stupid and can't think for himself right? Fucking media twits.

But...but McVay uses his telekinesis to control Goff's weak and fragile mind, throws the ball wherever McVay wants to - also with telekinesis because Goff has a noodle arm that is about as accurate as a stormtrooper otherwise - and takes control of Goff whenever he's in the bed with his girlfriend, since Goff wouldn't be able to charm and bed an old hag otherwise.

Didn't you get the memo?

He, much more so than anyone else, took us from down 25 in 1 and 2/3rds QTRs.
It was a ballsy, beautiful and just straight up BADASS performance.

I dont really like running QBs, pocket passing is what excites me more.

Also, I would love to see the results of alternate universe where Goff played with Reid in KC and Mahomes for McVay. Im not sure there would be much of a drop off for either team.

He's been balling out this year thats for sure. All the off-season talk about him ultra focused on improving seems to be paying off. The line and running game is playing well and he's always been solid when those factors are in place. But he's definitely taken another step this season.

Yesterday he was unstoppable in the 2nd half, and made some monster throws on 3rd and long to keep drives alive. He's been sharp every game this year and I expect it to continue. It sucks because he deserved that huge comeback win yesterday, still pissed at the fucking defense

Yeah re: those third and longs... Protections were pretty good. Not great but this line improved a ton in one week in pass pro and that's a good defense.

IMO another guy who deserves a thread is Edwards. We knew he'd probably upgrade the line but the change was noteworthy.

Heard of Neuralink? Its how he communicates with Goff even after the 15sec mark. He can read the defense and deliver the pass for Goff too with this incredible new technology.
Mcvay must really be a genius to be the only coach in the last 20 years to help his going qb with the headset! WOW

I would say that Goff is back, but I think he's better than he was in 2018. He put up some big numbers that year, but he's improved a lot when it comes to pocket movement and making plays under pressure. Like I keep telling non-Rams fans (and some Rams fans), patience with young pocket passers is key. Goff isn't in his prime yet. He's going to keep getting better. He may have some setbacks at times before he hits his prime, but he's going to be a damn good QB for us. Kid has a sky-high ceiling.
