I see a lot of frustration in ARod's future!
Could be telling!Nah. With our luck he'll really shine out there.
Oh, man, Packers looking to relive the memories of Jermichael Finley and his drops?
Mike McCarthy & Ted Thompson will not keep Jared Cook on the team long.I have been scouting so many Packers forums and all that and many of their fans are sold on this guy. They say his lack of effort is due to being on a crappy organization, his lack of great production due to crappy QBs, they use inaccurate SportingCharts numbers to make the case that he has above average hands. It's freaking hilarious. I can't wait until they find out Jared Cook is just that bad.
So he didn't even rank?

Seriously? I know this is a rumor but, if true, we could have gotten something for him last season! The eff were Snead and Fisher thinking to pass that up?
Maybe that they had a chance to fight for the division and a playoff still at mid season and Cook was an integral part of the offense. And GB was probably offering a bag of chips
The lack of interest in Cook is pretty telling.
Having said that, I liked him more than most, and thought he was passable-yet-overpaid before this past season when he lost all of his confidence. He started to come back around at the end of last season, too. I am considering last season just a down year for him. And he is always a matchup threat.
On paper, we could still use him, and I'd bring him back at a heavy pay cut. But the coaching staff insisted on giving him way more targets than he ever warranted. And for that reason, I never want him back in horns. The last thing I want to see is every other pass play going to Jared Cook, when we rarely pass the ball as it is, and he is hardly an elite weapon.

Ted Thompson wanted Jared Cook last year.
The Green Bay Packers have a visit scheduled with free agent Jared Cook, but, at least according to one account, the team has dabbled with the tight end before. Last season, the Packers attempted to acquire Cook last season prior to the NFL trade deadline, reports ESPN's Rob Demovsky.
Green Bay underperformed offensively in 2015, and the lack of a field-stretching receiver over the middle played a large role in those struggles. Apparently, the team's management agreed, and tried to pry Cook away from the St. Louis Rams midway through the year. Ultimately, no deal materialized, but the trade discussions illustrate how the Packers feel about the tight end's ability to impact the game.
Unlike Packers starter Richard Rodgers, Cook has plenty of speed to burn. He ran a 4.50 40-yard dash during his workout at the NFL Scouting Combine in 2009. Even at age 28, Cook offers a dimension otherwise absent from Green Bay's tight-end group.

you mean like we did after the rams signed him up 3 years ago?
.
Not at the trade deadline for a team trying to win the division.A bag of chips for an underperforming player that was going to get released? Yes, please.
