Honestly, the only thing I truly want the rest of this season is for Goff to stay healthy. Growing pains and learning is needed and I want it to happen this season and hopefully get it out of the way. I am already scared of Suh flopping his dumb ass at his knees. Just please, football gods wherever you may be, let him stay healthy and learn.

I keep reading posters say things like " Goff can't be any worse than Keenum". You folks can't be more wrong. I watched John Elway play his first season, had season tickets at Mile High. Elway was horrible. Lined up under the guard (more than a few times), threw the ball right into defenders hand for pick six 3 times in one game, fumbled, you name it, he freaked it up. He was better his second season, but not by much, so if you folks think Goff can't be worse than Keenum, its more than likely he will be in his rookie season. Goff IS going to take some lumps. I'm OK with that, I expect it. You folks should too.

Just sayin, don't be surprised if he's worse than Keenum his first few games.
As I said in one of the many other threads about Goff it's ok to make mistakes. We know with Goff he can grow that what we see the rest of the season isn't the finished product. With Keenum we were seeing him at his best there wasn't room for growth there. That's why I'll be ok with mistakes because he can get better.

Prediction:
First drive will go off without a hitch leading to a score.
Then, after the scripted plays are done, more of the same as we have been seeing.
I hope I am wrong.
If all of the 1st 5 drives end up in scores, that will make it 35 points scored for the Rams, and I'll be a happy Camper! They can then just play field position and protect the Ball!!(y):mrburnsevil:

Based on rookie QBs since 2010, the odds are in favor of Goff being better than Keenum. John Elway was a rookie over 30 years ago. The game has changed a lot since then. It's much easier to be a rookie QB in today's NFL.

I really hope Fisher decides to use slants and play action deep ins, slants and skinny posts.

That would not only open up things for Gurley inside, but allow for Goff to get rid of the ball quickly and move the safeties around without doing much.

Now...if *I* can see that...so help me if Boras and the offensive staff can't get that worked out... RAWR!!!

It's time to attack the middle of the field now that we have a QB with size, field vision, and the ability to climb the ladder.

Well said as we will be watching a rookie and I think everyone will remember that. Teams are scoring a lot of points against Miami so this is a great spot (although late) for his first start....... If I hear even one Keenum chant.....

This is great news. Goff's going to have ups and downs. I'd rather it be this season then next season.

Really happy to see Goff start. It's about the right time. I don't expect the offense to suddenly explode and start scoring like GSOT days. What I want to see at least is Goff succeed in areas where Keenum is deficient. Deep accurate throws, lasers rather than lobs, avoid the brain-dead pick sixes, etc.

However I will miss the nice chemistry Keenum has developed with Britt. They seem to be on the same page. With a young QB we might instead see more check downs and dink and dunk.

The most worrisome part of Goff's game in the pre-season to me was his lack of pocket presence. I hope he can stay upright and healthy.

Go Jared!

If Goff is no better than Keenum then the people who say the Rams traded away their future were right. Goff will make mistakes I'm sure, but Goffs worst isnt much worse than Keenums best. After watching Keenum for 9 games everything Goff does will look great in comparison. Can you imagine a pass getting to the WR before you have time to pray it isnt picked,or a bubble screen that is in the WRs hands before the entire D can close in on him?

Ram Brothers... seriously... calm down.

Let Goff GROW. Damn...give him room. Playoffs. Yeah...not gonna happen. Don't do that to the kid.

We still have Fisher as HC and we still have this broken offensive scheme.

Goff will have some good moments and some cringeworthy moments.

Let's let it play out. But damn... you guys are drinking the Kool-Aid like it's the free Jaeger at a bachelor party in Vegas and you were born with three kidneys.

Relax. Don't set the kid up to fail with monstrously outrageous expectations. That's not fair to Goff.

And...yeah... again... We still have Fisher...and we still have this busted-ass offensive scheme.

Mario Andretti couldn't win the Indy 500 in a rusted out Pinto, even with a few decent parts on it. Make him a rookie Mario? C'mon.

Let's cheer the sweet passes we're gonna see in the next few games, cuz they're coming. That's exciting!!!

Expecting anything more than that is, well... grab some aspirin cuz there's a hangover at the end of all that Kool-aid Whiskey binge.

I'm excited for what Goff will bring!!! And I'm gonna enjoy watching the journey.

Journey's take time. I'm hoping the lack of immediacy doesn't sour folks...cuz...it just ain't gonna be immediate. It just...ain't.
So you're saying cool down the Super Bowl talk? MACKEYSER IS SAYING WILD CARD!!!!!!
