All-Pro and Pro Bowl votes are biased. In ‘95 Bruce had 117 Rec 1781 Yards and 13 TDs and was NOT an All-Pro or a Pro Bowler. WTF? At the time that was statistically the 2nd greatest season EVER for a WR. The truth is Bruce was always soft spoken and played in a small market on a team with just a local fan following. If he played in Green Bay or Pittsburgh with his production he would have made double the All Pro and Pro Bowl teams he made. Thats a fact

Have to agree here. The media loves Owens and other flashy WR's for example. Statistically Bruce and Holt were equally or even more dominant in terms of great years compared to T.O who's in the HOF.
Here's the best 3 seasons for each WR-
Owens - 1,451(13)/ 1,412(16)/ 1,355(15) yards and TDs
Bruce- 1,781(13)/ 1,471(9)/ 1,338(7) yards and TDs
Holt- 1,696(12)/ 1,635(6)/ 1,372(10) yards and TDs
Owen's career stats are better overall due to longevity. In my opinion when it comes to winning games, give me Bruce or Holt.

You can't tell me he wasn't elite when he had possibly the best WR season ever in '95, considering what he had around him.
1700 plus yards. 15 per catch.
His not being a 1st team all pro has everything to do with popularity voting.
Over 15 thousand career yards. 1 SB winning super play. Retired in the top 5 in every meaningful stat.

If Isaac Bruce OR Torry Holt played with Peyton Manning for 12 years, either of them would be "right behind" Jerry Rice. And both caught touchdown passes in Super Bowls. How could they pad their stats any more when they played on the same team? Hopefully the Hall voters will take that into consideration.

Love both and they are deserving, but how does anyone think Holt before Bruce? No disrepect to anyone's opinion, as you are entitled, but I think Bruce should be the first consideration. We have Warner, Faulk and Pace, a great start from a truly epic era.
Why? Because Wayne played with a HOF QB for most of his career and his team had a better record? Hell. The guy had Manning throwing to him from the beginning and it STILL took him 4 years to have a thousand yard season.
OK.... This makes no sense to me. Why do you think Wayne sticks in other fans' brains so much? If I'm a fan of the Lions for example, why the hell would I really think of Wayne from a small market team any more than Bruce from primarily a small market team?
Are you basing this on overall record and think fans from other teams really think much about it?

I just hope the voters look at this more objectively because if they do, Bruce is in. Similar stats with the likes of Banks, Ripien, etc... throwing to him while Wayne had a HOF QB virtually his entire career.

Your entire scoring criteria is based off voted for statistics and that is the problem. As many other posters have brought up Bruce had some of his best years (arguably best years WRs have had period) on a team with little to no national presence, close to no team success, and honestly few reasons for any kind of spotlight to be pointed at them. Pro bowl votes and all team votes are hard to come by for any player on a piss poor team without an established footprint.
He wasn't a super high draft pick with the entire country knowing who he was. He wasn't flashy and didn't draw attention to himself. He most definitely did not have the benefit of playing for teams in the national spotlight every other week or vying for top dog status until he was half way through his career with the media supernova known as the GSOT. He was and is arguably one of the most accomplished WRs in NFL history.
The Hall shouldn't be a popularity contest like the pro bowl is and the All-Pro has unfortunately been as well. I hope the voters don't go off your criteria because if that is the case then that really is all that it is.
