Here's a fun and quick watch, the boiled down playoff victory vs Minnesota in the playoffs in '99. First big play from scrimmage was Warner to guess who? Enjoy!

Not just first big play from scrimmage, but first *play* (no modifier) from scrimmage for the Rams offense in that game and for the '99 postseason overall.

Last play from scrimmage for the Rams offense in the '99 postseason? Game-winning 73-yard TD pass to Bruce to give us the margin of victory.

Man that was sofa king awesome.

Utter insanity that was the GSOT.

First five possessions on offense =
4:28 total TOP
10 plays
164 yards from scrimmage
2 TD
2 turnovers
I sure as hell didn't remember the game being down 17-14 at halftime! lol I thought it was the other way around! haha But we sure as hell got it together in the first 6 mins of the second half.

I think that's what made those teams so special is the adjusting to another great team.

Did anybody from the site make this game by chance?

I didn't remember that either. I do remember pacing the entire first half and not feeling good until we pulled away in the second half though. That was a hell of a game man. Felt like I had run a few miles by the time it was over though maybe that was the JD that I was puttin down.

Interesting. I also remember being down 17-14 at the half, but I never felt like we were in any danger of losing that game. The way things unfolded that season, by the time the playoffs rolled around I felt like if we were in a game and were behind against a lesser team that it was just a matter of time before we exploded and pulled away. In the 2nd half, we did just that. And in fact, I remember telling myself when Horne took the 2nd half kickoff back to the house, "here we go."

It was the Bucs game the week after that really disturbed me because I kept waiting for the explosion that never came. Fortunately, we eked it out. But to this day, even though we won an NFC championship that day, I have no desire to re-watch that game, save for the pass to Proehl and the final, desperate heave by Tampa Bay that got knocked out of the back of the end zone.

Yeah I hear you on that. I was 19 and in Camp Pendelton, first time living alone and watching this game was stressful asf but it soothed any doubts in life afterwards, even getting smoked 2 straight weeks for getting drunk afterwards! lol

I remember I knew even though we were in a tough one with the Bucs we'd somehow win it, even in a tight one.

The SB on the other hand....

Hey isn't this the game that Randy Moss got flagged because he squirted a ref with a water bottle? lmao

Really wish I would've stuck a lump of coal up my ass for the Bucs game and the 2nd half of the Super Bowl. I would have been shitting diamonds for weeks and would have been able to retire in my mid-30's.

I don't remember that, but it certainly sounds like a Moss thing to do.

It's because the Vikings offense was on the field for almost the entire first half. They held the time of possession advantage almost 4-1, 23:44 to 6:16. :laugh3:

Exactly what most teams wanted, keep the Rams offense on the sideline, but they only went into halftime with a 3 point lead. Not going to beat the GSOT that way.

Haha Very true my man! Things you don't take into account after all these many years.

Also, listening to John Madden is mind blowing how basic his announcing is and the simple things he says " whoever scores more will win this football game...
