If the Rams don't sign Wisniewski (Which, I don't think they will) who do you think the Rams starting Center will be next season?

Well, @jrry32 feels strongly about Barrett Jones this year and others have posted about Brian De La Puente and they could always bring back Tim Barnes, but, IMO, I would not be shocked if the Rams drafted Reese Dismukes out of Auburn.

IMO, I like other Centers in the draft much better like B.J. Finney out of Kansas, but it was reported the Rams spoke to Dismukes and being from Auburn and a team captain, IMO, he will be rated high by this regime.

The draft is loaded at Center and Wiz seems to like himself more than GM's so that is why he is still available. Rams have not had a visit and that is not always the be-all end-all, it seems the Rams are either staying internal or have a Center they like in the draft.

I been saying they are leaning heavy to staying internal....with Barrett Jones & Demetrius Rhaney both have been here for two & one seasons & the the center who has been a Ram since 2011 UFA Tim Barnes signing currently ongoing & where time will level out the finer $$ details in this contract....I sure do not see a center out there that looks all that tasty.

There are a number of veteran centers still remaining available ...take a look:

Rams could also run the third day draft in 2015 like they did in 2013 & 2014 where they use that awarded 6th round draft selection for OG Chris Williams to get another late day center i.e. Max Garcia just as the cherry on top of that center shake. If Reese Dismukes falls to the late 4th rd Snead could even think that's a good point to go back to Greg Robinson & Mason's former team captain.

Paying long term Center Stefon Wisniewski close to 7 million a year is not going to happen here in St Louis when they have many other options to run through. Was there a reason why the Raiders dumped Stefon? I sure think so.

I certainly won't be surprised if the Rams end up drafting Dismukes. It also won't surprise me if the Rams end up changing their name to the St. Louis Tigers (Auburn/Missouri)!

I tend to agree with this. Judging from past actions, if the Rams take a center in this draft that they intend to start early, it would be Dismukes. I prefer Andy Gallik as a mid round pick or Max Garcia late.

Agreed and Demetrius Rhaney is defiantly in the mix add to the fact that IMO Dismukes will drop in the draft because he's on the small side with very small hands and now you have three. I am not a fan of Dismukes, IMO, another candidate for zone blocking scheme and Finney & Gallik are much better fits, but they did not play for Auburn.

I agree, IMO, Dismukes too small with small hands and did not do well in the bench press (23) I like Finney the best former wrestler which would be a huge plus against nose guards and Gallik seems to fit Boudreau's scheme much better...And Garcia in the 6th would be just fine by me.

This adventure obviously requires much much patience. It's so hard to have patience when you are not calling the shots. At least we are all in the same boat. Anybody have a Chess board handy? :(

All true den, but we have seen the Rams go small @ center several times now. Scott Wells @ under 6-2 & most of his past NFL life under 300 pound standing on the scale with two ten pound weights in each pocket. Then they follow up with the section of Demetrius Rhaney who is also a little under 6-2 @ around 300 pounds. So it looks like Bou sure does not demand 330 pound centers like he demand & loves the 330 plus pound OG's.

Maybe Bou is more focused on his center having lateral agility and balance to recover while being quick to get to the second level and adjust to hit and sustain against a moving target which would make more sense having the smaller guys with better weight distribution.

What is your opinion of Cam Erving at OC!?

My only question about Erving for a center is height? At 6'5 (tall for a center) will he be able to get leverage? However, the Rams love versatility and Erving is the quintessential versatile offensive lineman...Problem is, he won't last until round two IMHO.

Now to you question about my opinion of Cam Erving? If somehow the Rams ended up with Cam Erving on their offensive line, he would be the sun that would chase all the rain away!

I could see the Seashits swiping him up the end of the 1st round... But if not there is a decent chance he could fall to us!

That's gonna be a little difficult for them because they traded their 1st rounder to the Saints.

How much do you think Wisniewski will end up signing for and what do you think the Rams limit is? Unfortunately, I think he will probably get close to his $7 million and you are probably right that the Rams won't pay that much.

Yes but they could easily trade up for a team wanting extra value with what's left for them at the end of the first round. Teams like the Seahawks have that luxury since they have a stacked personal and if they deem the dude starter worthy they'd swipe him up before a team like us would as a good value for him in the second round.

Seahawks traded their Pick to the Saints in the Jimmy Graham deal.

IMO, Wisniewski is a bit pricey and I'm not sure his pass-protection is all that good either...
