I think Stafford has the credentials to be a Hall of Famer right now. But is he a first ballot Hall of Famer? Probably not. Play 3 more years and win another championship would probably seal the deal. A Superbowl MVP and he's first ballot hands down.
This is right where I'm at. [I am ArkyRamsFan and I approve this message.....]

Does anyone here really think Eli Manning or Matt fucking Ryan is really as good a QB as Stafford? I just don't see it.

The hall of fame will lose all credibility if Eli and Ryan make it in there. But then again there have been some rather pedestrian players that have made it recently. I don't really pay attention anymore. When I see the people who do the judging I can't take it that seriously.

Many said Kurt had no shot at the HOF because of the donut hole in his career and passed for some 20 some thousand yards less than Stafford right now and I believe he was a 1st ballot HOFer.

Nah, it took Kurt 3 years to get in there. A travesty.

But then he was fighting against some long festering bias against him. All these fools relished when he was injured and couldn't get it going. They used to actually laugh at him when he was playing for the Giants and the cards when Denny green was the coach. And they always brought up the numbers.

It's a testament to how great he actually was that he made it in at all.

.

I challenge anyone to name a qb not named mahommes who had a better playoff run than Stafford in the 21 season.

The only one I can think of is Kurt with the cards. But his d couldn't seal the deal to win the superbowl.

Flacco in 2012. What do I win?

Not taking anything away from Stafford btw that playoff run was legendary and my favorite memory as a Rams fan

Eli Manning definitely belongs in the Hall, his post season run in 2007 is legendary. Wins 3 straight road playoff games (pretty sure that's never been done before or after) and then comes back to beat the 18-0 Patriots on a TD pass with 30 sec to go in the game.
I know he gets a lot of hate but that run was just incredible

There were people claiming Eli was better than Peyton because Eli had two rings, and Peyton only had one, before he got his 2nd ring. Some people are literally that dumb.
Exactly.
Eli was a good QB, but he wasn’t a HOF’r

I’m curious, I've never seen anybody claim this before? Who are these people?

Only other one I could say would be Joe Montana tossed 11 touchdowns with no picks, winning a third Super Bowl MVP award.
He finished with 800 yards and a 78.3 completion percentage, and San Francisco's offense scored 126 points in three games.

Meh... it's a Whiner I'm going with Kurt! lol

IDK I consider Eli a HOF'r for the sole fact he saved us from the cheats twice! lol

Especially the undefeated season shit..!

He's 98-107-1. If the Rams can go 11-6 the next 2 years he'd be 120-119-1.

Namath: 62-63-1 / 1 Lombardi
Sonny Jurgensen: 69-71-1 / 0 Lombardi's
Dan Fouts: 86-84-1 / 0 Lombardi's
Warren Moon: 102-101 / 0 Lombardi's

I think the keys are either winning record or Lombardi. And I think the Lombardi outweighs the record.
Agreed. Just wished he could had gotten with McVay about 4 years earlier.
would have helped his record and playoff appearances.

If QB win % matters, then Jim McMahon and Danny White should be in since they both are in the top 10 highest win %
The real answer here though is there should not even be a conversation about "QB win %". Worst stat in sports, imo.

I get why people don't think he is.
But.. he's currently top 10 in NFL history in passing yards and has 2... TWO Super Bowl rings.. in games where he mades some significant plays.
I was surprised to read he's also number 10 in career TD passes.
I think he gets in.

This site monitors stats and achievements for possible HOF worthiness across eras. Looks like Stafford's on the bubble right now. Two more solid seasons would cinch it.

Pretty solid list.

Again, makes my point by a source outside our Ram bubble here.

The so called log jam at WR above Holt is nothing compared to what's above Stafford.

10 QBs in front of Stafford and 3 WR's in front of Holt. Not to mention Lamar Jackson with his two MVPs that will certainly make leapfrog Stafford unless Stafford -- as I stated, gets an MVP or another Lombardi.

Yet Holt's case for the Hall is way stronger as shown by his 108 score vs Staffords 79.

This doesn't even mention Staffords negatives which will surely come up, pick 6 leader and losing years in Detroit.

He really has to do something these next few years, but the Rams Offense is built with talent everywhere and invested in heavily.

He was a starting QB for over 15 years.
It would make sense that those numbers are sizable.

He was a good QB.
I just don’t see him as an elite QB.
