There may be something to the school lunch thing. Been to long cant remember. Have trouble remembering what happened yesterday. I do believe it has something to do with the contrasting flavor's. The salty and the sweet.

Never heard of that. I'll just have to take all of your words that it is a good combo cause I ain't trying it.

I'm very serious about my chili. I actually came in 1st place in the one and only chili cook off I'll ever enter. A few of my ingredients for my chili are a half a bottle of red wine and beer. Very spicy too.

Anyway... in Hawaii you always add rice to your chili. That's how I prefer it to this day.

I've spent decades perfecting my own Chili, and I've tried a lot of different things along the way.
But this just doesn't sound interesting to me. JMHO

Guys, I wasn't suggesting for anyone to change the way they enjoy their chili. I love MY chili MY way, as everyone else does. I would however suggest a few St. Louis foods to try.
Pork Steaks
Toasted Ravioli
St. Paul Sandwiches
I'm sure there are others you guys may like but these are my favorites.

Where I live; they've never heard of a pork steak.

But; a pork steak is a steak cut from a boston butt. Whenever I ask a butcher to cut them he's like "what the hell are you doing"?

Never heard of that before, while I'm wondering what it tastes like I'll probably never attempt it because I rarely eat chilli in general.

Been in the midwest most of the life. Never heard of such weirdness.

Yucky. PB needs to stay in smoothies and bread. Only.

Never heard of PB and chili but I have dipped PB sandwich in soup before, not bad. Kinda like the french fries in the chocolate shake thing.

I just assumed these people just don't know how to make chili , if you need to add something with your chili , then you're not doing it right ,

Well, I agree, good chili needs no accompaniment but to each his own. Good chili to me includes, beef, sausage, peperoni, onions, bell peppers, other assorted peppers in addition to any other traditional ingredients.
