I'm not over Nolan Cromwell dropping the pick 6
I'm not over Az Hakim fumbling the punt
I'm not over the Spygate loss
I'm not over shitting the bed against the Patriots in 2019
I'm not over the loss to Detroit last year
And many, many more
I never get over the season ending loss

I still fucking hate Roger Staubach and Fran Tarkenton for those NFCC losses in the 70's, those dirty, filthy sons of whores.

I take a little bit of solace in the fact that for both of them, the last games of their respective careers were divisional round playoff losses to the Rams. But still, fuck those guys.

I fully expected the Eagles to win for weeks but with that last drive and our chance to win driving to their 13. I fully expected us to win at that point, then everything came crashing down.. took me till just this week to somewhat get over it.

Damn super high-super low roller coaster ride.

Still thinking about. The part that bothers me , is the sack on 3rd and 2. Why they were in such a rush to run a play with a minute to go is beyond me. Perfect time to run the ball and drain the clock. Anything but a sack on that play. Not one jet sweep the whole game. Would have been a perfect time for Kupp or Nacua to gain 2 tough yards.
Dotsons false start one 2nd down was a killer too. And of course the miscommunication with Dotson and Limmer on the sack. I’m sure McVay runs call through his head 100 times a day. Run the damn ball.

Would you trust the RB who has fumbling issues to run on 3rd and 2 there? I wouldn't.

A jet sweep perhaps, I would've loved to run there but I don't know if a jet sweep was it, and frankly I would have zero trust in Kyren there with his fumbles.

That miscommunication is brutal.

I'd have trust in a Puka sweep...

From the beginning I felt the Rams were a good playoff team who could advance a round or two. But I did not think they were Superbowl caliber. So the loss didn't really hurt as much. The went as far as I expected.

its a worse version of last year. Last year, we would have gone to Tampa, where we would have won. But then gone to San Francisco for the title game, and that would have been a tough game for us to win even with our recent success. We were one play away against Detroit and one play away against the Eagles.

But this year it was the next round, and we would have hosted a rookie QB in a game we would have won. We were one play away from the Super Bowl.....and while we would be big underdogs against the Chiefs, we match up pretty well with them. IMO as good as their defense is, its not the kind that slows McVay down too much.

I couldn't watch much of the games last week. I'm just numb right now

Just frustrated.

Game was there to be taken and then comes the most unfortunate 10=minute stretch of football in recent Rams history.

Agreed. I'll never forgive Kyren for it.

To the original question, I still can't get other it. It feels like it gets worse every day for me or every time I think of it.
This. I was watching and my wife looked at me confused because I kept randomly saying, " Don't fumble, don't fumble" every time he had the ball.

I know its not the only reason for the loss plenty of other things to point to but as soon as he did I knew it was over. Even with the last second efforts.

Ya this one hurts, and will hurt more if indeed Kupp and/or #9 move on, esp #9... that missed block was brutal. Ouch. And ya the play call, a WR jet sweep to Puka would've sealed it.
Because if they both come back I'm 99% sure we get to the SB next season. We will get the lock-down corner we need, moar WR / TE / RB wepz, and a full offseason for the Conductor & his Choir of Chaos to gel together w/ Shula.

Yeah, this one still stings. I'm definitely getting over it a bit, but I wanted nothing to do with football for days after that game. I'll be happy when the SB is over, because I firmly believe it should be us in it. I've also decided that I'll be rooting for Philly to win, because then at least we lost to the SB champ, plus can't stand KC anymore.

That’s how I felt but there was a very real possibility that they end up in the SB and then who knows?

Not really. McVay took a team that was maybe a year away from being as good as they turned out to be this season. Great job by the Coaches and players. Biggest thing we lack are chunk plays on Offense. That and the fumbles are why we lost in Philly. They got big chunks by their RB and we had to grind. I believe that McVay wants a home run hitter in the backfield to compliment Williams. Don't be shocked if our first round pick is a running back.

This is all true, but it doesn't change the fact that Roger Staubach and Fran Tarkenton were and are dirty, filthy sons of whores.

What were we talking about again?

It really sucks because of how close we were. We almost certainly would have beaten the Comandos to make it to the SB.

I've watched (via the NFL Network) the last 5 minutes or so of the Rams-Elgles game three times. Yes, it hurts a bit, but I am at peace. I can live with a rookie missing a block or a player losing a ball due to weather conditions. What hurts more is seeing how the Commodes got thrashed the next week and how we could have perhaps handled them.

Now though, if you were a Ravens fan, having your stud TE drop an easy catch that costs you a shot at the AFC championship game would be hard to get out of your head.
