... getting over the loss to the Eagles? I mean, damn, usually I can let go of the game by the next day, but this one just lingers and lingers. Just watched the highlights again, and honestly believe that we are the better team. With the defense playing the way it was, we had a legit chance to win the Super Bowl. It just keeps on stinging ...

No not really. I’m proud of what this team accomplished and consider them overachievers. They started the season 1-4 and took the eventual Super Bowl champs to the end in brutal conditions on their field.

It hurts extra bad with floppy Mahomes making the remaining 2 weeks unwatchable.

The Rams were supposed to win it. Hell of a season. Love how strong they finished after the tough start.

The Rams were poised for an epic comeback. A historic playoff game was their's for the taking. One missed block sealed their fate. They could have played the NFC Championship game at Sofi and went to the super bowl. The young defense went from kids learning on the fly to almost-greatness in one season. The offense consisted of battle-hardened veterans who knew how to win big games and several players could have cenented their status as all-tine greats. Yes, I am having a hard time getting over this.

I was there, yeah its tough, stings.

This always brings me a smile from The late great Mr. Scully, I changed it to fit the RAMS:

May God give you for every storm, a rainbow,
For every tear, a smile,
For every care, a promise,
And a blessing in each trial.
For every problem life sends,
A faithful friend to share,
For every sigh, a sweet song,
And an answer for each prayer.

You and I have been friends for a long time, but I know in my heart that I’ve always needed you more than you’ve needed me, and I’ll miss our time together more I can say.

But you know what — there will be a new day, and eventually a new year. And when the upcoming Summer gives way to Fall, rest assured it will be time for RAMS FOOTBALL.

I will never be able to get that fumble out of my head.
Man. So many that I replay. The fumble. Higbee wide open and the sack. The vanilla runs calls, twice, on 3rd and 1. Getting gashed on huge runs three times. Nacua's third down drop. Dotson's false start. All these things and still should have won. Rams are the better team.

We should have beat the Eagles and I think we would have beaten the Commodes solidly.

It can be difficult, but through the years I have lost myself in my work, family and workouts to forget about football for a while.

But that was years dealing with "Ray, Waddy was wide open in the end zone."

I'm not over Nolan Cromwell dropping the pick 6
I'm not over Az Hakim fumbling the punt
I'm not over the Spygate loss
I'm not over shitting the bed against the Patriots in 2019
I'm not over the loss to Detroit last year
And many, many more
I never get over the season ending loss

The SB36 loss is the one for me. I carry it with me still to this day.

But yeah, Higbee was wide open. This loss could become even more depressing depending on how the next few seasons go.

Agreed. I'll never forgive Kyren for it.

To the original question, I still can't get other it. It feels like it gets worse every day for me or every time I think of it.

Yeah, the way it ended has stuck with me. An epic comeback with Stafford slinging it with a touchdown likely only to have it end due to blown blocking assignment on a pro bowl player. It is extremely disheartening. From the moment the defense got the stop and I knew Stafford was getting the ball back I was literally pacing around my living room saying... "Time to steal some souls"... "This is your moment to cement your legacy Stafford". The whole drive I was so amped because I knew we were going to win it.... only to have it end due to that.... just.... FUCK!!!

Naw, three other games come to mind. Still am not over these games. Lets see if you can guess.

1. That Adam guy beat us by a field goal
2. Double OT in the dome (IMO the day that the GSOT died)
3. A huge game where Goff overthrew Cooks in the end zone

Now we know how New Orleans felt a few years back when we whipped their butt on a suspect pass interference play. :)
You win some and you lose some and you keep on trucking in this world
