THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. – Rams rookie running back Cam Akers (ribs) has been ruled out for Sunday's game at the Buffalo Bills.

"We'll just continue to try to get him as healthy as possible for next week," Rams head coach Sean McVay said after practice Friday.

Additionally, while defensive back Darious Williams (ankle) is questionable, McVay expects him to play on Sunday. Running back Malcolm Brown is good to go after practicing in full on Thursday and Friday.

For the Bills, tight end Dawson Knox (concussion), running back Zack Moss (toe) and linebacker Del'Shawn Phillips (quad) have been ruled out. Linebackers Tremaine Edmunds (shoulder) and Matt Milano (hamstring), listed on the team's depth chart as starters, are questionable, as well as reserve cornerback Taron Johnson (groin).

Well that sucks Akers is out. Seems as though Zack Moss RB will be out as well. Hopefully their 2 LB’s are out and even if one is out @jrry32 I’d start Hendo.

I wish I knew what McVay planned to do with the HB rotation. Trying to decide if I should start Darrell Henderson over Joe Mixon in fantasy.

I like Henderson a lot this week, but the bills run D is tough. Still a solid RB2 or flex play. Can you bench Mixon though against the Eagles?

Both Milano and Edmunds have multiple practices this week, and both are tracking to play Sunday based on everything I've been reading. Maybe we get lucky with a late scratch but high probability they both start.

I don't think we are running that much against the Bills. It would be great if I was wrong, but it looks like Goff will be throwing more than in previous weeks against this Bills defense.

Or more jet sweeps.

Just Another Week where Henderson gets a massive slice of workload... And another opportunity to get him adjusted to NFL speed.

Each time we've given him a chance, he's improved upon his play. There will be some speedbumps, along the way... But sooner or later The Lightning is gonna be HUGE and BRIGHT.

Can't wait to hear the CRACK of Thunder, Akers will bring to compliment our Lightning.

I'd go with Mixon just to ensure I don't get the double dose of fucking anger if our run game gets stuffed.

Well, y'all have given me a lot of very reasoned responses. It is clear that starting Henderson isn't the safest bet. But fuck it, I'm a homer. I'm going to start him lol. Plus, James Robinson already gave me 28 points.

go Henderson

he should get most of the carries. The way he use Brown is more of a closer type. Imo

I was impressed with Henderson last Sunday. He made a nice catch,so he should get a few yards in the air. Browns finger might limit him. When Akers comes back then all bets are off?

I’m predicting a Rams loss though Sunday.Maybe not the best to get advice from.

That applies to every person everywhere and not just smaller 3rd round Rams running backs with dreadlocks...

Its like saying Van Jefferson can be good "as long as he doesn't go to Florida and get mixed up with gangs and get shot in the head like Steadman Bailey".

It's just an odd thing to say when there is no reason to worry about it.

Very sad what happened with Mason. I thought his issues stemmed from mental illness?

True & Very well said. Drugs have torn families apart for years as well as alcohol. Goes further back than the prohibition. The United States might have been better off without it.

Yes- saw Tre Mason & Stedman Bailey both when the team came to Oxnard.

Stedman singed autographs with Kenny Britt.
Roger Saffold was telling fans he was going to be okay & ready for the season.
Tre Mason was for some reason holding up the team bus to leave.

Looking back now ,I don’t recall Greg Robinson. What happened to him seems crazy as well.

Tavon & Mason we’re both there for Stedman when he got shot.Amazing Stedman’s corrector. How he came back from the shooting is unbelievable & should be one of The GREAT 30 for 30 sports stories of All-Time.

Then what happened to JJ’s(the rabbit’s brother is a sad story.

Dez Bryant getting his earring back & then the fight that stopped a practice.

Interesting A lot of The Rams taking a knee in front of Jerry Jones to open up the season with one of his players kneeling as well. Jared Goff with his right hand on his heart to open up SoFI Stadium.
