I'm starting to question whether I want OBJ back.

Imo OBJ is essential. He is just an outstanding receiver with the ability to run routes, get open one on one, catch the ball, and score. Sorry, but Jefferson isn't in the same conversation. Put OBJ with Kupp and Robinson and the Rams have an unstoppable passing game that works for explosives, red zone and third down conversions.

Imo Rams really need both more scoring and a more consistent offense. Hopefully we will have a strong D, but without Von Miller we can't expect the pass rush to shut down defenses as it did in the 4th quarter of the Super Bowl and other playoff games. Signing AR is a big deal, but imo we also need the ability to really win games with the offense when needed.

OBJ imo elevates the O to that level. And I don't care what he tweets.
Oh you'll care if he tweets he resigned with us hahahaha

Makes you feel good when you see him say that kind of stuff.
He obviously wants to be a Ram and has said it multiple times. We also likely offered him a shitty 1-yr offer that's incentive based which he's not happy about. Both things can be true.

We did the surgery, by all accounts it went great and actually repaired issues he had in there from the past procedure. When are we going to up our offer? If he doesn't get hurt in the SB he probably wins SB MVP and gets a big contract from us. It's bad luck for him and yea life sucks sometimes, but the Rams have to understand his value after seeing what he did in a half season. I can only imagine once he's healthy and in year 2-3 of this offense he's going to be a 12+TD guy.

Did Odell Beckham Jr. break apart Browns team?

May 6, 2022/by Larry Brown

The actions of Odell Beckham Jr.’s father last year helped set his son free. But they also may have destroyed the Cleveland Browns too.

Last season, Beckham Sr. posted a video on social media in early November to highlight how poorly utilized the receiver was by Baker Mayfield. The video pushed the Browns to get rid of Beckham, who ended up signing with the Los Angeles Rams and winning the Super Bowl.

In a story published on ESPN Thursday, Jake Trotter examined Mayfield’s relationship with the Browns. Trotter pinpointed Beckham’s exit as the moment that “divided” the Browns, ultimately hurting Mayfield.

Many Browns players were fond of Beckham and wanted him to remain with the team. Him forcing his way off the team, while Mayfield remained, hurt team chemistry.

Trotter wrote that the “way Beckham exited Cleveland ‘poisoned the well’ for Mayfield with some teammates.”

Browns players may have loved Beckham, but that is part of what makes him so difficult. He is so popular and has so much pull that him being anything less than a model teammate can seriously undermine a team.

The Giants got tired of Beckham and traded him to Cleveland. Beckham got tired of being underutilized and forced his way off the Browns, apparently leaving a fractured team behind. The Rams were able to utilize Beckham well, but if they re-sign him, how long will that last? If history tells us anything, probably not longer than a few years.

Rams are the team he should sign with. He fits with McVay and that staff and should be better if/when he returns. Culturally he can be himself in LA.

But I think he will sign with Green Bay. I think the butthurt is strong.

Kyler was an MVP candidate as late as week 10 last year. An ascending player. The Rams broke him.

OBJ was wallowing away in Cleveland. A markedly declining player. The Rams saved him.

To say that the comparison is unfair is.... Not fair.

The Rams want OBJ back and will (IMO) make a fair offer. We will see what happens, but it's not like the Rams have a ton of expendable capital....
Kyle was a mirage. Always has been. He's not on the rise. He was never on the rise (in a long term, reality driven sense). He's never going to be on the rise.

The OBJ argument is semi- accurate, but without the crucial context that he wasn't declining, his on field performance was declining due to poor QB play.

In the parlance of my youth, you got it twisted. That's just from the perspective of the quality of player. Someone else described how the actions of the two in their situations are also wildly different.

Comparing the two is beyond unfair, bordering on ridiculous.

That's all such propaganda bullshit basically it's saying because some teammates tend to like some more than others when said teammate wants to leave due to organizational problems or flaws then that rips the locker room open. Now is that possible sure so that's odells fault???

-Is obj a cult leaderbaka Charles Manson?

-Is it better for him not to be liked so then you can write the flip side of that article?

-Should he just shut up play and in the whole we can write how he isn't playing well a gave up on his team?

Depending on how much money you could earn shouldn't we all have a job that easy. I can take anything an spin it into whatever fodder I want damn the people itay affect. What a gig. At least a meteorologist has to have knowledge of many things even if they are wrong more often than not. This is just all garbage writing. Blame obj for everything wrong with the browns hell why stop there the world. Lol garbage!

He will be back, but he won't be able to play until at least December. He wants a full contract with the $$ that goes with it so he will have to wait until the cap is resolved after AD, Kupp, and maybe A'Shawn's contracts are resolved. I also expect them to trade for an edge as well.

Danielle Hunter is no longer listed as their starting edge. His contract is structured as if they expect a trade. I heard they wanted a WR as part of the deal. IMO that would be Jefferson and the Ram's 2nd round pick next year. That would leave them with Allen Robinson and Kupp with Benny Sko and Harris until OBJ returns. With the return of Higbee and with all the RBs good receivers, losing Jefferson in a trade for Hunter wouldn't be bad deal. Also, the Vikings didn't add a SWR in the draft. They took Jalen Nailor a project injury prone WR who projects as a backup with 4.5 speed and a history of drops. IMO something is up. I just hope its the Rams dealing for Hunter.

After paying Hunter why would the Vikings consider moving him? doesn't make any sense. I have a hard time believing that IF the Vikings moved Hunter it would be for a WR.

Other than wanting it to happen (and count me in as a member of that group) what in Hunters contract indicates it’s structured for a trade. Also - Ourlads still has Hunter listed as a starter. Let me know if there is a better source for team depth charts.

Count me as a Rams fan that definitely hopes (Fingers Crossed) that OBJ returns to the Rams next season even if the Rams have to wait for him to get healthy!

We aren't getting Hunter unless the Vikings suck really bad. That's the only scenario where I could see them even entertaining that trade before the trade deadline. I honestly doubt it'll happen.

See to me that's the tricky part. We don't know how far apart they are in terms of dollars but honestly doesn't sound great so far. Plenty of time to sign him since he's still recovering but at that point other teams will enter the mix to add to their squad and to hurt enhancing ours if possible. It's good we have the inside track and maybe Rams waiting to see how he heals up before upping their offer a bit more. Sucks that the injury is putting everything on hold.

Just know that he says he wants to be here and we know the Rams. If they want it too they'll make it happen. But you also wonder if the injury didn't happen do we even sign ARob?

Yeah but Von Miller was saying run it back too and ran to the best offer so that shows it's a business regardless of what players say. I'd love to have him back in horns but as more time passes, other contenders would be more tempted to splurge too.
