Yeah but posting that shit on social media really stupid. If you wanna sign with us, just keep it in house. This is the first thing he's done that is idiotic since being associated with the Rams.Yea we're obviously offering him some small ass 1 yr prove it deal. Now that he's officially come out on the record and said he wants to be in LA, do we change the offer at all? 2 year deal or something worth more $? He's such a great fit for our offense and by all accounts his ACL surgery went amazing.
I dont think its really that bad. Everyone assumed we gave him a low ball offer and this just confirms it. McVay, Snead, and Stafford have all expressed interest in him coming back. But until this point we hadn't heard from OBJ on what the hold up is. I just see it as putting pressure on the Rams. Because the further we get from his injury the more inclined another team will be to give him a bigger contract. Teams like GB, and KC, SF have all expressed interest. We saw how effective he was in our offense. Imagine him in year 2 or 3. If we want him we need to get the fucking deal done, I bet it doesn't have to be a huge offer. But for him to describe it as not even a 'real offer' means its likely a 1-yr incentive based deal which doesn't make sense for him because he'll only be playing in ~10 games this yr.Yeah but posting that shit on social media really stupid. Gotta disagree there. No reason to put a team on blast for a contract offer. Be a professional and keep negotiating in good faith. If it doesn't work out, be grateful to have a SB championship and move on. Him commenting to the world like this has no positive impact whatsoever.I dont think its really that bad. The Rams are built on a certain kind of culture and it involves character. If you don’t understand that then you haven’t been paying close enough attention.LOL.. Here come the drama queens..
wants a ‘Real Contract’.
It means he’s not happy with what he’s been offered. Or that the Rams have yet to make their offer. Either way it’s unprofessional to spout off about being upset about his number and turning it into griping about his contract. And it does not necessarily mean what you think it means.
So if nobody knows, why are you calling those who express concern “drama queens.”Nobody knows what he meant by it..
He could have just as easily meant, give me a real offer and not just talk about an offer.
because you are attempting to make something out of potentially nothing your heiness. So if nobody knows, why are you calling those who express concern “drama queens.”
Not with the RamsKyler Murray just made an even spectacle and still stayed in AZ. This is just how negotiations go in the league these days.
It's crazy people are even comparing the two. Kyler has faded late in seasons, been horrible in the playoffs, been a bad leader and has terrible body language on the field. Multiple reports have come out about his leadership issues. OBJ has been a great fit and teammate since he got here. He was a huge piece which lead to a SB win and we don't win the SB without him that is a fact. The guy said today he loves LA and wants to be here, he just wants a legit offer. Not a 1 yr incentive based BS lowball offer which is what we obviously gave him. There's no way he's asking for top of the market WR money, the tone of his tweet was playful during a back and forth with Deebo.Kyler Murray just made an even spectacle and still stayed in AZ. This is just how negotiations go in the league these days.
