Bowles is a hell of a good DC so it’s a good idea that is most certainly worth considering. Could he help upgrade the D what with us having two first round picks? I am not sure Pleasant would be an upgrade over Shula
Shula could take Pleasant with him as his DC if the Rams don't promote him immediately to DC.

You never know with owners. They may be more enamored with Shula's family name and the fact he had a cup of coffee with McVay than whether he's ready.

Though he's had other guys hired away I didn't think were ready so what do I know. :laugh2:

Morris had better players and still played too soft with his defenses.
Yeah - there were games where Donald would be wrecking havoc in the backfield and his soft zone coverages would just get obliterated between the 20s. However, Morris was very good at limiting teams to field goals frequently in the red zone.

He dialed shit up in the playoffs though. I wonder what role McVay takes in the defense and how aggressive it plays. With this offense, defense should be taking chances all day long.

And those soft zone allowed the QBs to dump the ball off quickly, robbing AD of sacks.

I think the Dolphins head coach is getting a reprieve so I don't think he will get a HC job this year.

I think Shula staying can only be a good thing. 2 years of experience under his belt. Probably a couple of better players in the back end. This D was doing pretty good when he had his wild card. Once he got injured the mediocre back end was easily targeted. I think with some upgrades his D could really be special.
