I was not certain if they evacuated. Did anyone find out?
I asked him that earlier in this thread and he hasn't responded.

I saw that.
Thanks for anything you can share.
Not trying to be a wise guy but it's hunkered down...
Do you hunker down or bunker down?
It depends on what kind of emergency you are facing. A bunker in the First World War was a reinforced concrete underground shelter, designed to withstand a bomb. To bunker down is to find shelter against attack, whether that shelter is physical or metaphorical. People preparing for a cyclone would bunker down.
I don’t think he has been there a year yet. Yeah, that’s our concern as well. Stuff can be replaced. His town is around 10’ MSL so that gets me wondering. If I hear anything I will let you know. You and the fam stay safe yourself brother. Sounds like is going to be rough almost all the way up the state. And if you can, let’s us know you are good.Of course Brudda.
This is his 1st storm... and it is a whopper to lose your cherry to where it hit for him. He did say he was not real close to the coast, so the surge shouldn't be a factor for him. That's the worst part of these damn things... and that's what causes most of the casualties that happen. He should be just pissed because his power is out. Anything that gets damaged can just be repaired or replaced.
I'm just praying for their personal safety. Nothing else really matters.
Thinking of you and your misses my brother. Stay safe and give her a hug for us.Well... my internet just went down.
@Ramrasta just lost power in Lake Mary but ours isn't out as of yet.
Winds are kicking up now a bit and the first lightning strikes are popping.
Still have power and internet in my part of Lake Mary (near Heathrow). Seems inevitable that we’ll lose both before this is over, but still hoping.Well... my internet just went down.

Well, it looks like you won't have to snorkle to see sea creatures.....It's been raining all day. Winds are starting to pick up as the bands pass through.
I heard we will get 20+" of rain here in Central Florida which is going to be an all time record if it happens. This is a slower moving storm so it's gonna dump lots more rain in 1 area than most storms normally do. My pool is already full to the brim and the real strong stuff isn't supposed to happen until tomorrow for us.
