They have tried. Cooks, Jefferson, DJax, Beckham jr, Tutu (Mike Evans) etc.

Cooks and Beckham worked. The other WR’s, RB’s and TE’s were getting a little more space to work it seemed to me.
Yeah I forget about Jefferson sometimes. He was a good deep threat. I think they really need to try and get it right at that position and running back. I think we need more layups in this offense.

Yeah, I seriously doubt Corum is the guy either. The lack of explosiveness among our skill guys is glaring. Physical? Yes. Intelligent? Yes. Competitive? Yes.

Explosive and game breaking? No.
As much as I'm a Corum fan being a Michigan fan and watched him since he stepped foot on the University I can't say he's explosive as you stated. He has excellent vision and cuts and can get into the open field but rarely breaks one to the house. He's for sure a grinder, He gets stronger as the game goes on you can visibly see. Not to knock Kyren a whole bunch but IMO he lacks that 'determination" at times.

Corum played with another change of pace back that comes out this next year called Donovan "The Don" Edwards. Now that dude is a home run hitter given 16 inches of daylight. Someone like him or Raheim Sanders would be a perfect change of pace back to Courm's grinding type of play and likely a day 2 or 3 back.

Verse and Fiske? Let's match Corum and Edwards again!

Does any starting QB throw a worse deep ball that Stafford?
He actually seems better on the move.
Standing in the pocket and throwing deep, his throws are almost always short.

Far too early to judge Blake Corum in my opinion ... I wish he was getting more work.

In 11 games, Corum has 29 carries and is averaging 3.7 yards-per-rush.

In his rookie season, Kyren Williams played in 10 games, with 35 carries, averaging 4.0 yards-per-rush.

You're right that it's too early to judge Corum. I would add though that his 29 carries haven't made me wish he's getting more work. I haven't seen remarkable vision or explosion to suggest that he's better than what we have.

Kyren's fumbles have made me wish Corum got more work, but that's not because of anything I've seen from Corum.

Replace him with what?????
Well, Infinite-Ram may point-out that Linehan, Haslett and Fisher are all available; and there's this accomplished Defensive Coordinator in Kansas City to consider.

They could also focus on getting the Lions' impressive young OC Ben Johnson; and then, hope and pray he turns out to be as good as ... Sean McVay!!!

Personally, I think it is really difficult to get a top Head Coach; and, if you have one, you try to hold on to him.

It's also really difficult to win in the NFL. And, thus far, this is the only season under McVay (his 8th) where the Team ... thus far ... has under-achieved. And that's on the offensive-side where all the cap space is allocated and expectations were high. Finally, the injuries to Kupp and Nacua, plus to the O-Line (zero continuity which is critical to O-Line play, in my opinion) have contributed to the offensive short-comings.

Corum doesn't seem to have that burst and natural side stepping tacklers that Kyren has. It could be because he's tentative trying to feel his way. In college he sure had that kind of burst and able to make tacklers miss. And a nose for the endzone like Kyren. To me he looked like a Kyren clone. Maybe he just needs more time.

If this thread was meant to be about benching Kyren for Corum, then so be it.
KW for sure has to figure out this fumbling issue. On the 2nd fumble against Philly, he was actually holding the ball with 2 hands. Defender punched it out like it was nothing.
I dont know what the answer is, but removing him from the lineup also removes the best red zone touchdown threat so I dont know if that's the best decision.

Give Corum and Rivers a chance.. as long as they dont fumble then maybe they can be productive enough. Fumbles KILL.

Did I hear this right? Williams has 5 fumbles in the last 7 games?
Yes sir, at very crucial times nonetheless, and lets be honest hes not setting the world on fire, good good player without the fumbles Definitely a position that could use an upgrade.

Yes. He's tied for the league lead with 8 over the last two seasons. It's an issue. I hate having to worry about my RB coughing it up every time he touches the ball.

A running back who fumbles and a kicker who disappeared. Great. Go rams!

Karty's miss was disappointing; and he has been inconsistent. However, that's not unusual for a rookie kicker.

I prefer to focus on Karty's effort against Miami when he was 5-of-6; and would have been 6-of-6 but for a penalty, with successful kicks of 52, 53 and 55 yards (one was erased by a Limmer penalty).

He has a strong leg, and gets his field goal attempts up quick and high. With a little better consistency, the Rams could have an elite place-kicker.

Over half of the NFL teams wish they had a running back as good as Kyren, yet some of you mistakenly want to replace him with someone unproven.:explode1:

Kyren is a TD machine. 26 TD in his last 23 games.
Fumbles need to be fixed but let’s not throw out the baby with the bath water. It’s been quite a while since we last had an RB scoring like this
