Even good teams with good structures can unearth bad coaches. The Rams are not immune to it; we're lucky to have gotten Snead when Kroenke took over, since Fisher wanted a rookie GM, and we could've easily gotten a retread. Most of us - including me - thought Spagnuolo would be the answer.
Even the best coordinators can be horrible head coaches, and there are no guarantees.
I'm not suggesting that he's perfect, that he doesn't need to find ways to improve himself, but we've dealt with two out of three years with bad injuries. Our starting offensive line from the preseason has played all of one game (the Miami game) together, and it's clear that quite a few of our players (Avila, J-Jax) are rusty after coming back. In 2022, AD, Stafford, and Kupp were put on IR before the half-way point.
He's been dealt with a bad hand, and to be at the point where we're at, within striking distance for the division, is a testament to his talent, and the what the coaches have had to deal with. We have obvious weaknesses in the secondary, offensive line, wide receivers, and tight ends, and I trust McSnead to deal with it.
I just feel that saying that they are going to be gone is an overstatement. We had a bad loss here. Whether we bounce back or not remains to be seen, but we have a shot at the division, what looks like an outstanding two rookie classes, and we're dealing with a plethora of injuries to important pieces.
Let's just not throw the baby (the coaches, the players who had a bad game) out with the bathwater (the players who are obviously going to be replaced after this year, but we can't at the moment).
