Well, Jefferson wasn’t really good. Being better than a bad player doesn’t make him great, does it?

Look at the end of the regular season. They needed receiving help. Stafford needed help. Demarcus and Kupp struggled in man coverage. Why wasn’t Tutu put in in those games if he’s so good at getting free releases and separating in man coverage? They needed someone to step up and it never occurred to the coaches or Stafford that they had this amazing weapon standing on the sideline?
I feel that logic but they wasn’t gone bench Kupp
There is no way Choo Choo could play Kupp’s role. Not in a million years. He’s not physical enough to block like Kupp. Kupp basically plays the move tight end in a 12 personnel front. That’s usually a bigger body.
im talking strictly as the motion man …. He will be just as effective or more in the passing game

You obviously haven’t seen the boobs and ass threads. ;)

But seriously, I don’t think you’re getting the vibe here. This is a place where Rams fans are at a bar, downing alcohol, sharing their opinions with each other, talking shit, having fun as fellow homers of the team, and it’s chill.

I’m looking at your posts and…well, it feels like you’re arguing for the sake of it.
Eh it's all good with this guy, my original post was a joke post that I kinda assumed wouldn't get much play on here but I couldn't not make it.

I’m not even sure of your point at the moment. It’s a one year deal. He’s young, he could get more security than that if he’s really that good. If he’s so good why didn’t some team offer him a 3 year 33 million contract, with guaranteed money?

Tutu is very small and light. He’s definitely got physical limitations. I don’t believe the coaches made a 4 year mistake by not starting him. They saw his good games just like you did. They still kept him as the fourth option.

Jourdan said the Rams view him as their field stretcher next year. They just signed him to play a very specific role.

If he balls out and has a great season playing as a full time starter in 2025, then call me out in the end of December and say I told you so. Until then it’s all just projection.

I don't think that anyone on this site has said that McVay made a 4 year mistake in not starting Atwell, but he most assuredly made a 4 year mistake in not using him in the role as a field stretcher - and McVay now re-signing Atwell to work in that role confirms it.

Talking about Atwell's new salary and the length of term are irrelevant, what is more salient is the fact that the Rams failed to use a player's primary asset in an area where the Rams have been clearly deficient, whether that player be a starter or a bench piece.

McVay talks often about the need for explosive plays.

I've said it before on this forum that the easiest way to achieve explosives is to attack the high safeties with your speed receivers.

Unlike outside corners, safeties and most nickle backs rarely have elite long speed and just cannot stay with the faster passcatchers for an extended period of time - e.g., the long td passes by both the Eagles and the Chiefs in the Super Bowl went through the deep middle of the defence.

McVay rarely took deep shots in that area, and instead we did a lot of dink and dunk, station to station football.

Sometimes you just take a shot to get the defence to back off.
