Well, my Bumblebee Grouper ate his tank mate today... a Zebra Morey eel that was about 4' long. The Grouper is about 15 pounds now and he is soon to be out of my tank and probably moving into a tank at SeaWorld. I would eat his mean ass if it wasn't for the copper I put in the tank.

It's gonna take him a few days to digest the whole eel cause he can't fit the whole thing down into his stomach. He decided to eat the eel this morning... it's 8:45 pm now and here's how much is still hanging out of his mouth.

That poor eel...

How's your main moray doing? I've always had a soft spot for eels, for some odd reason.

He WAS my main Morey! LOL

I've had that fucker for YEARS. At least 10 years. I got him because Zebra Moreys are the only fish safe moreys. They only really eat crustaceans... all the rest will eat the hell out of fish.

I was gonna get rid of him too though because I'm gonna be putting 5 or 6 Blue Spiney Lobsters in the tank. One of my sons put one in the tank with him some years back and the eel ate it... He didn't eat it right away though because he lived in the tank about a month. That eel was LAZY.

I'm gonna have a bunch of stuff in there again once I get this grouper out. The crushed coral on the bottom and the big dead coral pieces have to come out because the tank has been treated with copper for years. Copper keeps fish healthy from diseases but kills crustaceans and live coral. I plan on having a bunch of that now. Fish too, but not super high dollar fish like the ones I've been keeping. When you have fish that cost $1000 and up... you definitely want to put copper in there to help with their health.

I'm ready to switch it up. Plus... my son has some live corals he wants to get out of his tank so I'll get all that for free from him.

Okay, fuck that grouper. I hope a shark eats that son of a bitch.

Made some Colorado rough mountain scene coat hanging shelf. Weathered one for my GF, the one with the heart for my son (my son added it). Plus a string hoop game. I am making a wall mounted one for our cabin.

been wanting to do this for awhile now. but time wasn't in my favor

finally got around to making some custom wooden dart cases today. Glued up all the wood on Friday , drilled the holes for the darts and cut the notches for the flights yesterday. Spent today sanding. and sanding, and sanding some more. Then a light coat of wood butter and they are ready to go.

Have about 10-12 more "blanks" to drill, shape and sand yet

I've got some Blue Spiny Lobsters being flown in from the Indo-Pacific today. One of my sons is picking them up for me any time now.

They are basically the same as the Spiny Lobsters I catch here (no claws)... but they are much more colorful and legal to keep in your home tank. You are allowed to have the local Spiny Lobsters in a tank here as long as they are legal size and the lobster season is open... so that doesn't work.

Just snapped this pic of one of the lobsters running around for the food I just dropped in the tank. This is the biggest of the 3. They had to snap off more than half of his 2 long antennas for shipping because they are well over a foot long and would have popped holes in the bags. They will come back to full length again the next time he molts.
