I said this yesterday in the secondary thread but that aligns pretty well with what I saw yesterday at QB. Goff was making some really smart decisions and delivering the ball with accuracy.

I'm curious about Allens rating. He had a few nice throws but was also a major reason why the Rams made up the deficit.

Gotta hand it to McVay. We thought he was an idiot for not drafting an OL early, but thus far, he's being proven right about the talent we have and Aaron Kromer. Kromer has really done a masterful job with the unit, and our guys are all stepping up. Blythe looks good at Center. Corbett is a rock at RG. Edwards has been a revelation at LG. And our tackle tandem has returned to form. I better knock on wood that they stay healthy.

And the one guy we did draft is now a swing tackle as a rookie behind Evans, maybe ahead of him at LT. And people didn't understand or like the pick to begin with.

Kudos to our guys even though they’ve been flying under the radar. I suppose it’s better than being a hyped up name like Wentz who just keeps shitting the bed game after game. Goff has been surgical and dropping dimes when he goes deep. Henderson is a pleasant surprise - a lot of people wanted to write him off after his limited play last year. Kupp is a dog and the O line has been great!

I'll gladly eat crow as I never thought our Oline had the Personnel. They are lucky Noteboom got hurt though. Doesn't look good for the coaching staff that they evaluated Noteboom as the better player over Edwards. I will claim I was right there. :)

Yeah Kromer was right. Always looked at it as a gamble the way they didn't add OL this offseason but maybe it wasn't. That crow's so good it tastes like a double-double.

Will eat some serious crow with Havenstein and Blythe. I'll take a double: crow thighs and crow drumsticks.

Exactly. Havenstein will never be a great pass pro RT. He's a plus run blocker who can survive out there on the edge.

The PFF numbers look accurate to me. Our OL as a whole fucking mashed yesterday. It was a thing of beauty.

just like I said in response before Sunday. Still have not seen the game yet. Though.

lol- Last year & every other season Kromer has not had solid depth.

Austin Blythe has been a blessing from his first season. IMO The Rams don’t make it to the playoffs without him.
Just going back to the start of this O”line.I’ve liked your in-depth break downs, but view certain plays differently.
My View goes back to Jamin Brown& Greg Robinson. Kromer dumped him for draft picks. The Rams never went OFFENSIVE Line year 1.

Now you have me giving Kromer more credit. In fact I’ll start a fresh post.

I’m a Big Kool-Aide drinker, but love me some Crow with it from time to time.I do also like to talk crap. This weekends game I called for a loss & then that Comeback Hurt Bigtime.

Still makes me want to think about Bobby Evans? Glad The Rams have an ascending squad Kromer is helping build.

I wasn't panicking about the offensive line. Thought Whit and Hav would come back in better shape and get back close to 2018. They have all exceeded expectations so far. Kromer added the power blocking later in the season last year which is paying dividends this year.

I give McVay credit for getting back to the run game. I expected he would but, not at the rate they have been running the ball compared to passing,

It appears to me that McVay has finally learned the importance of balance in the run/pass calls. Of course it helps when the o-line and rbs are getting it done. But McVay is showing lots of signs of growth as a coach and this is one of them.

In the past, McVay’s constant default to the pass had become predictable. The play calling has to be as unreadable as the formations.

I think McVay did an outstanding job of self scouting.

I think part of why he was a bit relaxed going into the Hard Knocks stuff is that he felt confident that he'd figured out his next means of attack and so far, he seems to be right where he needs to be.

We don't come out flat and we stomp the Bills.

But the lessons learned by the team with that out of conference loss are the kinds of lessons that can propel a team to a championship.
