He didn't have the best day today. Made some plays this season though. The writing is on the wall however.
I thought he looked like he was moving better than he has since returning. His playing speed seems to be returning some. Yeah, the writing is on the wall for him and Havenstein. Both have been consumate pros for the franchise off the field and true blue Rams warriors on it.

Completely agree, looks like this is Higbee's last year with us. I have a feeling Havenstein will probably retire. He's been getting hurt way more frequently. Think his body is done with football after this year.
We should give Higbee an obligatory TD throw in the Super Bowl after we go up 44-0.

Higs is just an inline TE. He's not the pass catching threat we need across the middle. So he may sign for less than what he's been making and stick around but we'll see. I do agree it's likely he moves on.
Ferg may end up being another more inline type. But I think he has a chance to develop into what we need across the middle. And it could happen really quickly, as in the moment Stafford decides he trusts him.
I'm guessing that we're going to see a lot more of Ferg after the bye. He got open for two TDs today but couldn't haul one of them in, and was open for another opportunity Stafford missed. I think this kid can help us. Two TE sets with him and Higs, and the two wideouts Nacua and Adams, with Williams out of the backfield is a talented offense with good run strength/balance.

Hope to God I am wrong but I wonder if Fergs can catch the ball in traffic. If he can do that then he could be a weapon.
My guess is he will be a decent blocker and be able to do the TE screen stuff or the vertical stuff like we saw today.
But can he pull the ball down with strength in traffic like Warren? I seriously doubt it. And Hope I am very wrong.
No doubt. Warren's a rare player. Already one of the best TE in the league I think because he can block and get overlooked in coverage or straight roast a defender. Total package.
Ferg I'm just gonna enjoy seeing the development. And I think he has the QB who will feed him if he is good enough.
Fully expect this to be the final season for Higbee and Havenstein ... plus, Darious Williams and Parkinson.

Parkinson is way overpaid. Definitely gone next year.
But I've been impressed with Davis "pillow hands" Allen this year. It's going to be him and Ferguson next season. I think we'll be alright.

As of today, I would do the following in offseason.
Move on from Parkinson after this season which saves us $7 mil in cap space.
If Higbee wants to play another year or two as a veteran leader and depth player give him a 1 year $1-2 million contract.
Feature Ferguson and Allen. Possibly resign Allen since he has one year left.
