Kind of random, but I remember Roger Saffold used to have a lot of “little injuries” too. Like every other game he would leave with a shoulder or “stinger”. Then he put on a bit more muscle and kind of knocked it off.

Hendo’s injuries are frustrating. But I wouldn’t write him off just yet.
Rogers Saffold hat structural issues with his shoulders that he got surgically corrected and no longer has those issues.

First three seasons, Sony Michel played in 38 games.

First three seasons, Darrell Henderson played in 40 games.
Context? It's funny though Sony's rookie year he only played in 13 games. Yet he was never out to an injury just to Bellicheat sitting a 1st round rookie because he does that. Wham he played 1 more game now. Last year he missed 2 games on the covid list now he's 3 ahead. The only time he actually missed games to an injury was last year to a quad injury.

Sony has had issues with his knee since HS. His knee is bone on bone, so yeah, he has missed games too.
Agree.. Just suggesting that Henderson is not the only RB with a durability issue.

Also felt much better with Henderson behind Michel as opposed to Funk and Howell.

A healthy Akers would be great but will cringe, for a while, when he touches the ball.

I don't need no stinking Context!!!

I knew it. Knees just can't bend sideways.
That cheap ass dirty (feminine) tackle grabbing only Hendo's arm was not cool.

(see the link below for my expert medical opinion just after yesterday's game)

Yeah, Hendo being tackled the way that he did was bound to cause an injury. The angle he was being pulled it's probably a miracle it's only a short term MCL injury.

But seriously, our RB luck this season. Ridiculous.

You don't let Henderson go for next to nothing. He's too talented.
I get a kick of of folks who want to just drop him because his 3 year history suggests he gets hurt too often. Even with his injuries, he's a great 2nd/3rd back. Will never be the lead dog and was only put in that position because Akers went down. And he produced in it.

I'll gladly take him, Akers and Sony next year again. There is room for all 3. Why? Because NFL backs get hurt. I hope we are never in position to hope Jake Funk is healthy enough for a RB2 role again. Please, keep Hendo!

Whoever gives them the best chance to win, has to play...This game is really HUGE for the Rams...

I’ll eat my words if I’m wrong but I still say he is not ready and st best they should hold him until playoffs. With Hendo out we may see Akers dressed out but I would not expect to see him play.
No reason to eat your words. None of us truly knows or has access to Aker's medical info like the Rams do. I just hope no matter when he plays, that Cam Akers is indeed healthy.

It was a tough tackle on Henderson will miss his explosion & I’m not sure on Funk as he seems tentative plus ball security is a concern with Funk as he seems to carry the ball loosely.

Funk does have speed & Howell has power so I would rather keep Akers off the field until post season.

I know the weather forecast calls for rain, but get ready for a lot of Stafford passing. We can't run Michel into the ground, and I don't think McVay will stick with Funk much. So, bombs away Sunday!

Ravens: Hold our beer.
Yeah but the Ravens get a lot of run game out of their QB. He's probably a top 5 RB in this league if you just handed the ball off to him.

Rams took an enormous hit with Akers man. I don't think that got a whole lot of play in the media but it was a big deal and IMO set this offense back quite a bit.

Henderson threw a lazy straight arm and ended up giving the defender his arm instead of punching him.

Sucks to see him down again but if we have Akers, Michele and Hendo that’s a good stable of RBs who can most likely get through 20 games.

Getting another quality guy next year might be tough with other needs, depends on who they are able to keep.

He's also small framed. If Michel was given that carry he probably trucks the defender and gets another 10 yards.

In general it has ben a brutal year for RB's league wide and that is taking into account the league is always rough on RB's
