It would be very hard for me to consider releasing Rob Havenstein in 2020 no mater how bad of a 2019 season he has turned in.

RH has only been in the NFL for 5 seasons & he will be our most experienced OL going into 2020. This Rams OL is very young & inexperienced. Experience is in bad need in this unit. With the big issue facing this Rams OL @ LT early next season releasing & absorbing Millions in Dead Cap Funds on top of the loss of your most experienced OL it just sounds like the wrong move to make.

I also believe that the skills set of Havenstein would be a desired addition to heavy duty running offenses like Ravens, Seahawks & many other teams.

I cannot imagine they let Littleton go - that would be asinine. You don't find guys like him just sitting around.

my question is why did The Rams not sign Cory Littleton to a ling term contract. It seems stupid to me ??

Look at what happened with Ogletree ? It reminds me of maybe trade value with Hav ?? Then again , I not sure about depth ??

Trade is a question mark ?? Hard call right now on if he should play?? Will see what Kromer’s thoughts are ?? Big Rob has digressed this season.

Eh, I wouldn't go that far at all.

with Whitworth being the best FA singing of all time ??? He has meant a lot to this franchise!! Still thinks he resigns next season."

The offensive line has been playing really well of late as well ?!

well I don’t think it is a over reaction!! I’m watching the game right now. Chris Collinsworth of all people is giving them Praise. During the first half & now a screen play to start the 2nd half .
He likes just how athletic they are getting out now on screens.
He says they are younger , faster, better looking on the edge that they The Rams have had in the past. The bootlegs are working for Goff as well. The running game is helping.

Whit is at 11.5 mil....Hav is at 8.1 mil. Whit is a FA after this year. Hav is under contract until 2022. It's *may* be hard to move Hav *if* they want to. I don't think McVay is gonna move him...but no doubt he needs to up his game. I mean...dude went from one of the best RTs to a "middle of the road" RT. That ain't gonna get it.

No doubt he's seen how Evans has done in his absence. It's looking like he's gonna get the nod to start Sunday. He best be on his game.

I have been advocating for possibly an extra O lineman to be used like that for weeks. Frankly I’ve been really frustrated at coache‘s slow moving adjustments to a catastrophic situation.
Are you ORginal Pickle ??

That's my thinking, trying to read the staff. This week of practice will tell the story. If Hav is 100...I think he starts. I think Hav knows he needs to get it in gear...and he will. We'll see.

If the 6-8/330 Rob Havenstein were to start this week he would get the Cowboys Demarcus Lawrence who is only 6-3/265. Lawrence has not had a sack in the last 5 gms. Havenstein has a lot of experience going up against him.

The injury to DT Antwaun Woods (who I think is their best DL'er) has weakened up that four much more than most think. Rams already know that they can easily run on the RDE Robert Quinn when you run directly at him. Gurley should have some good long runs.

Whitworth should manhandle Rob Quinn rather easy. DE Micheal Bennett has always been a pain in the buttocks to the Rams offense.

I still think you leave Evans out there even is RH is healthy. He's really played better than Rob from what I've seen so far. I know, teams will eventually figure out what Evans weakness is and exploit it but I'd rather see if we've struck gold with Evans and replace him if needed. I wouldn't mind RH coming in as a 6th OLinemen in the running game tho. That could be huge against teams like the 9ers and Ravens. If RH is healthy this weekend I expect to see McVay call up some Jumbo packages.

I am all in to get Rookie OT Bobby Evans every snap possible with our offense. This seasons experience will greatly assist him when he is selected to start @ LT post early next season until Joseph Noteboom is ready to play.

Personally I think Edward's moves to LT and they replace RG with an FA or draft pick. If evens continues to play well at RT why fix what isn't broken? Allen is a good backup at center but he needs to bulk up. Corbett is playing well not great but no worse than Boom was playing at LG. So maybe we just have to find an LT or RG and we go with the guys that are currently on the field

I forgot about Lawrence;he must be hurt, he tore it up te first 6 weeks or so.

Hav has been hurt since the beginning....all of a sudden "meniscus' when Evans was ready.
Hav will be the B+ RT in 2020 that he was in 2018....I have no doubt...still young...he ewill work out, and make a big comeback.

Or re-sign Whitworth for a final year at LT, keep Evans at RT, place Brewer at RG, Edwards & Corbett compete for the starting LG role, and let the 7 wannabes (Allen, Coleman, Trewyn, Kolone, Corbett, Demby & another draft pick battle it out for starting Center and the reserve C/OG position.
Whitworth and an OT draft pick will give Noteboom all the necessary time he needs to get back up to speed, the draft pick can eventually compete with Noteboom for starting LT and the swing OT position once Whitworth retires. And Havenstein is traded for a valuable draft pick and CAP savings.

I do not want Whit on the starting Roster next year. He's barely hanging on as it is right now. I would love for him to come back in a coaching capacity but I think it's time to cut ties with him. Teams that hold on to older players usually end up regretting it at his age and position. I'm in no way saying he's not playing well, but we really have to look to the future at LT.
