Roy Orbison.
and
One of my all time favs.
Geddy Lee, Analog Man.
I used to really like Steve Perry when I was in high school. Him and Steven Tyler.
Both can really, really sing.
When I first saw it I almost didn't recognize him. He looks like hell. It could be a stroke but I think he may have spent all his money on booze or something.
I saw him play a free concert back in the 80's on Daytona Beach when Daytona was still the Spring Break Capital and MTV spent the week televising everything from there. Money looked exactly the same then.
Scrolling through the iPod and I found an all time gem.
Smokey Robinson.......Tears of a Clown. I haven't heard it for a few years. Wow.
For Queensryche something like Take Hold of the Flame is a much better vocal performance in terms of range ect.Geoff Taint

Nearly anything by Bruce Dickinson. Amazing voice, power, range has it all. Gets better live as he ages as well. Was better the last time I saw him live (2011) than he was back in the 80s.
As my avatar suggests, I'm a huge Maiden fan. They're quite simply (in my view) the greatest band ever.
I also like Bon Scott's voice. It fit AC/DC's sound at the time perfectly.
Love them as well. My favorite live band, see them any chance that comes my way….a total of 10 or 11 times including getting up on stage several years ago during Heaven Can Wait in Houston. Also got to take a couple of drum lessons from Nicko when I was in high school, super nice guy. A lot of Dickinsons solo stuff is good as well. The whole Chemical Wedding album is a vocal powerhouse.
Yeah - I was going to say Queensryche. That dude's voice is hauntingly smooth.Geoff Taint
