He saw Woods pivoting and breaking upfield past the defender. Then he put WAAY too much air under it trying to float it over the rushing LB.

I guess that is the only explanation. Woods was heading upfield towards the area where the ball was thrown but he was still 5 yards away. He has been around too long to make a mistake like that.

The protection hasn't been bad. He's getting enough time. Seattle is covering well, but I'm not even bothered by Jared not lighting them up. I'm bothered by the inexcusable mistakes. Throwing a terrible INT in scoring range when you have positive yardage on a scramble. Sliding a yard short of the first down on 3rd down when you can get it. He's not making good decisions. There's no way for me to rationalize what he's doing. He's simply playing like a rookie. I don't get it. There has been far too much of this since the start of the Dolphins game.
