Perkins looked so good on that TD pass. Jackson was his second read on the other side of the field. Jackson completely shook his defender with some decent route running.

There was a reason the Rams kept Justin Lawler on their roster. Lawler was impressive overpowering the Charger's offensive line- I’d put him on ice the last two preseason games.

Lawler was good, but it looked like the chargers were blocking him with a TE most of the time.
Running backs look small. Need some size.

How is the temperature in there? I know it's a night game but is it climate controlled or anything like that? Hated that sun blasting me at the Coli. There was no escape
It wasn't bad, but it wasn't 1pm either. There was a nice breeze that was helpful after all the walking we did to find our seats.

The OL was the most concerning thing to me tonight 100%.

After our top 6 I have zero faith in any of the backups tbh. Bobby Evans looked bad tonight after getting demoted. He should have came out with a chip on his shoulder but underwhelmed big time.

Big whit is going to retire after this year. What are we going to do? What about if there is an injury? Just not enough talent on the OL IMO.
Agree, it's why I wanted some OL from the draft or FA.....hoping not making any real moves on the OL doesn't bite us in the ass.

It looks to me like McVay considers Reeder a roster keeper, hence not playing.
I never understood all the underwhelming press that Troy Reeder gets around here.

I love a good gritty udfa that plays his ass off.

With all the injuries we've had at inside linebacker, I feel very lucky to have a Troy Reeder.

The first game where he came in for Bryce Hager, he dominated.

That 3 sack game he had against Washington was really fun to watch.

Ehh - he is a good backup who doesn't seem to get hurt.

Good guy to keep on the team but the GB game exposed him. He gets easily blocked when Donald is not getting double teamed.

In addition, he is not very good covering running backs.

Man, love to see a guy beat adversity. Very humble and grateful interview while giving props to his wife. I hope the injury history is behind for Lawler because he'll be an extremely easy player to ride a bandwagon for.
Just watching the PC right now and agree completely. Not to mention he looked damn good last night. Reminds me of a Morgan Fox. I could see Lawler sneaking into the starter opposite Floyd

Yes. Quite a few of us did. Gotta start drafting mid to early round Olinemen sometime, so they can groom them to start. They had several opportunities in the last few years.

Anchrum wasn’t bad and I think Brewer just needs to shake the rust off. At least there is that.

Reeder’s three sack game was great but it worked because his best trait is moving forward. He lacks sideline to sideline speed and agility.

I'll buy that. But the more superstars you have to pay big money to, the more you need these cheap gritty UDFAs to come through, as backups.

I don't expect you to recall but I stated that I thought our number one priority in the draft should be an inside linebacker with a little more range than Reeder and one who can cover better.

I still love the guy and hate to think where we would have been without him.

Obviously Reeder had his limitations but he’s not nearly as bad for how people make him out to be. As an UDFA he’s a hell of a full in and I’d rather have him out there than Kiser on an average down.

Kiser is atrocious in coverage, while Reeder not being an all pro Can and will make plays generally being in the right area.

Saying Reeder got exposed in Green Bay to a HOF QB isn’t to surprising but what all the other players that good exposed? Hill? Williams? Or safeties? He wrecked all over which is expected from a HOF QB to do.

I thought when Jones got drafted he’d be a mid to late season or next year starter depending on injuries, that’s if he take coaching right away to correct his woes.

Was about to ask about the RB's, but then scrolled up and checked some posts. Seems we may need someone to back up Henderson?
Our piss poor run blocking didn't do them any favors.

No running lanes to be seen.

Out of Jones, Funk and Calais, I'm keeping Calais.
He seemed to be the guy that was harder to bring down. seemed yo be a bit more shifty.

Jones and Funk seemed to be taken down at 1st contact.
