I'm not sure it's Goff hate to question whether he is a franchise qb for us. He's our starter so I'll root for him as long as he wears the horns, and when he's on he can be very good.

But... it's been four years now as the starter, and some of the negative tendencies, especially the turnovers when under pressure and the games where he's just off, are issues. He's inconsistent, and there may be a reason that you don't see him listed as a top ten qb too often. We're homers, but honest question, if you could choose one qb to build team around, and you could pick your qb, would you choose Jared Goff?

No you wouldn't choose Jared Goff to build your team around in the NFL. You'd pick Mahomes. But there is only one of him. We don't need to build the team around Goff. We need him to just do his job. Too often he's not.

There was no smoke and mirrors. We're simply not as good without Whit, plus we've faced top run defenses in back to back weeks. McVay needs to keep hammering it inside. SF is too fast to consistently beat to the edge.

Respectively I'll disagree. I don't mean smoke and mirrors as far as nothing is there, but in that if the opponent sees through the scheme, it is ineffective. Our inefficiencies in third and short highlight this. When they know the run is coming, we cant do it.
