As I am thinking about what to make Sunday. I'm thinking I need to do something with eggs. We decided to get backyard chickens this year. We are currently getting 6 eggs a day. Maybe I'll make omelettes

Loco moco. Put a few eggs over easy/medium on top of rice, sausage or burger on top of the eggs, and a little gravy over the entire thing. Goes best with an ice cold brew.

Leave that egg gravy out. Might as well put fucking pineapple in it.

That just made me think about the crackly french bread the wife picked up today... What better way to test it out. :laugh2:

But for the game I'm gonna grill up some fish because my diet of late has been very bad and I also have a couple real nice halibut filets. I like to do mine up with a basic salt, pepper, onion powder, parsley baste. I put the spices in olive oil with some fresh lemon juice (may use pineapple if I feel adventurous), rinse then baste the filets and cook them on medium heat in my favorite cast iron skillet.

I serve them on a bed of sticky calrose with a small pile of finely sliced onion and peppers on top of all of it. The veggies I just cook in the remaining baste so as not to waste it. Then drizzle a little soy and sriracha to tie it all together. That's my go-to healthy fish & rice that doesn't exceed my culinary skills lol.
Oh, my Rams brother, I had a client fresh off an Alaskan trip deliver these delicious Halibut filets to me. They cooked up reeeaaal nice. :clinkingbeer:

Trying to decide here on either a grilled New York, or some tri-tip. Both are from our only local butcher shop (other than from the grocery store) and are really flavorful cuts. The side dish, is the grilled vegetable medley, along with baby reds and sliced garlic, all tossed with olive oil and seasonings prior to grilling things up.
Afternoon BBQ meals are the sweetest after a victory.
