When we have the 11 am game it's a bit more complicated to plan a meal to match the game.

Plan to make a big pot of French Onion Soup to eat for dinner after the game.

But during the game. . . What do we eat? Trying to dig into DC food. When I was there it was big on food trucks so honestly just a mix of foods. Searching team specific meals and it looks like they have a smoked brawt that is popular.

But I saw this recipe and thought maybe we'd give it a try. Red Bean Mooncakes.

I am making split pea soup (good for earlier game), corn bread...

But... I made those J-Dawgs last night (from last week GDMT via @Dz1 copycat recipe) and they were AWESOME!

I have about half the sauce leftover for more dogs off the grill later in the game, or whenever.

Glad to hear.

Tonight for the Clemson/U game I'm gonna make a couple Roger Wood spicy hot saugauses. 10 minutes after I cut up a little opinion, I'm eating them.

The Rams, got a nice 3lb point cut corned beef brisket. Gonna throw in some red cabbage and organic baby carrots.

Btw spilt pea soup is off the charts love it,just have to moderate cause of the natural sugar in them there split peas lol.

I'm glad you liked the J-Dawgs.

I love love split pea soup. I had never had it until I met my wife and it's her favorite.

That sounds sweeeeet! Never had sliders like that.

I have enchiladas for today, which was my other consideration for game day... already have the chicken done... just need to roll, sauce, cheese, and bake later! :horns:

Use yellow peas? They work just as well. (y)

Carrots, onions, celery, ham chunks, chicken broth... that’s it!

I told my wife you were making split pea and she requested that we make it sometime later in the week.

I think I'll make it with chunks of my homemade bacon.

Ok this sounds good. How are you making the chicken?
