Love this move. I fully expected us to throw a pick in or a swap or a seventh, especially since they’re taking his whole salary. I am absolutely fine with this.
I just heard Brugler comparing Tet to Drake London. Do you agree with that?

There are a few receivers I’d rather have the Rams draft.

Rams now have four six round picks ... Can they repeat the 6th Round of 2024!?!
... Tyler Davis, Josh Karty, Jordan Whittington and Beaux Limmer

NOT the 2023 Sixth Round ... Tre'Vius Tomlinson, Ochaun Mathis and Zach Evans.

Apparently it's their bad 6th rounder... unfortunate.

That’s still a fine pick. #197 overall.

Drake London seems like an apt comparison, but to be fair to London, he hasn't had a good quarterback throwing him the ball...ever.

Wouldn't mind McMillan if he dropped low enough and his character was properly vetted.

Agreed. So am I correct in thinking there is no cap hit and we get a 6th?

If so it’s as good as we could hope for and means we might be in the top end of the FA market for a position of need

Darius Slay anyone?
2.8M dead cap, OTC increased our cap space from 44M to 54M. More than I expected. So Chicago must have picked up salary guarantees that we would have been hit with if we just had cut him. A release was supposedly only going create 3M of cap space. So the trade is a Godsend.

Now this is before Stafford & AJs deals are added, but it gives a cushion.

It will be in the 200's after comp picks are added. Still the cap savings are big.

Hope it's correct regarding Jonah Jackson.
Even if it is, that $54.5M amount does not reflect the Stafford restructure, or the Alaric Jackson signing.
Those lazy turds could have at least did Jonah’s contract! Didn’t even notice.. assumed it’ll be in there. We should have a good amount to grab 2-3 impactful FA’s.

Looking at Tankathon, which has the projected comp picks. It's still #197 there, so that's where I'm going to place it for now.

Yep.

People will focus on the lapse that he had against the Eagles, but overall he was fantastic for a rookie and has the potential to be an excellent starter for many years to come.
Yeah I didn't have that much of a problem with him making that mistake as a rookie.

It sucked but he was a rookie and sometimes rookies make big mistakes in key games.

I have moved on.

I think calling him fantastic was a stretch. He was better than average. He's got some work to do, especially in pass blocking.

But I think he showed potential to be sure.
