With the way Matt Staff played last game just don't see us going QB anywhere near first 4 rounds. Really think the Rams are stickin' with Staff and are going to build around him for the next 2 or 3 years.

Now if one of those two don't handle their business, it's the one who does, Washington, Georgia, Ohio St. But how can you put Georgia in at 12-1 and keep Alabama out at 12-1 having beaten Georgia? Do you pass over Ohio St? They were idle and technically couldn't improve or hurt their chances. #5.

McVay probably looks at Wentz for when Stafford is injured. I think they pass on QB unless the one they favor the most falls to them, which isn't likely. I could see them waiting until the 2025 draft to get that guy.

Got to be Alabama but then you piss Texas off who took care of Alabama early in the season. Don't know if they would now. And you have Georgia, reigning two time back to back winner of the chip who just lost by 3 points. They changed the playoff rules a year too late. Fans should strike and say, no, do it now! You've got 8 great teams.

Watching Mayes I can see why the Cards would want him. He's a better version of Murray. Still an RPO type QB which is their system.

People complain about Noteboom's injuries, but say nada about Stafford? No I seriously doubt the Rams want to pay Stafford $100M for what it would cost to carry him through 2025 &2026. They have to carry his $49.5M in 2024 because he has an $86.5M dead cap. That's why IMO he will retire after 2024, along with Kupp and Donald. If they are going to draft a QB1 next year is the year to do it. They will probably give up more than 3 first round picks to move up to get who they want.

This is going to be a completely different team in 2025. But with Puka and the emergence of Turner they have two of those 3 needs covered. I don't see any way they pass on a QB deep draft next year when they will need a QB1 in 2025. It allows them to redshirt the rookie and for Matt to mentor him.

The new QB1 will inherit a good OL, WRs (Puka, Atwell) and a good RB who will be playing in his contract year. Hopefully the team will have a new DC in 2024 as well. That's why this year is a foundational year, the future will be built around this draft.

I don't know who's going to the playoffs, but after today, it's clear they need to expand the field to 8. Texas has made a solid case the last two weeks, pounding the snot out of Ok. St. in today's Big 12 Championship game. And Alabama (who TX beat at Tuscaloosa) made a case in the SEC championship today. Yet neither of those teams has anything close to a guarantee of making it.

I think you have to start with the Big 5 conference champs:

Big 10 -Michigan
SEC- Alabama
Big 12- Texas
PAC 12 - Wash
ACC -FSU

Then strength of schedule and head to head. Which would seem to eliminate FSU.

With Bama beating GA it really scrambles the standings. I think it elevates the Huskies to #1.
