FSU is incapable of winning the Championship with their current roster.
They get their trophy for the ACC championship and enjoy the season despite the loss of the qb.
Sounds like you are just opposed to an SEC team getting a shot more than you actually believe FSU is good enough

That's an opinion. A good one. But opinion just the same. Someone can say, "that team can't possibly win the National Title" but that's just an opinion. Truth is, you never know who is capable of what until they meet on the field. I'm not opposed to the SEC. It's the #1 conference in college football. But when they fuck up....Georgia this season, for instance, why are they given a pass (Alabama getting in from the #8 slot)? I'm opposed to teams getting in over other teams because they're from the SEC. The ACC doesn't get the same benefit. Neither does the Big 10. The #2 and #3 conferences. I have no problem with only dropping Georgia to #4. But if you're sitting at #8, there is no way you should be in the CFP if there are 4 teams ranked higher who also won. Alabama is only there because of a freak TD vs Auburn,, without which, they'd be ranked lower than #8. Maybe they should just make the SEC Champion the #1 team regardless of record (or performance) and rename the CFP, the CTS..... "Challenge the SEC". I hope Washington screws them all and is National Champ from a disbanded conference!!!

Michigan, Washington, Texas, Alabama. FSU gets screwed. Well, we'll have to see how it plays out now.

If Jordan Travis is playing, there's no thought of them being out of the playoffs, they are likely the 3 seed

This is the problem when a bunch of old men get to decide who is the best team instead of the teams themselves.

If you go undefeated - especially in a major conference - you should get a shot.

Because rankings don't count for shit. Alabama was the #8 team in the country because they "escaped" a loss to unranked Auburn. So they beat Georgia, something Saban does every time they meet in the SEC Championship Game and they jump over Ohio St., FSU, Georgia and Oregon. Why? They barely got by Texas A & M and Auburn, lost to Texas. The resume is flawed. FSU proved to be more than a stellar QB. Can't wait for the 8 team CFP.

My point is there are 89 other kids on FSU who played their asses off all year. So the QB gets injured and they're out, despite being undefeated? In lieu of a team who struggled to beat A & M and Auburn? FSU deserved a chance to overcome the biggest adversity a TEAM can face. Alabama deserved to be SEC Champs.

I get the point, "but we want to watch good football". But it's not about US. It's about a long, hard season of football and teams that earn it, getting screwed.

Because the playoff isnt a participation trophy, its to decide who gets to play for the championship.
With Travis, they're in because they would have had a chance to win. Without him? They have no chance to win. Its just the reality of the situation

It just sucks! You can claim they got the best four teams but did they? Ohio State might maul Texas. Georgia might maul Washington. FSU D might take any of these other team's QB out early. It's been a broken system all of my life and of all sports on Earth, College football playoffs are the most flawed. Next year will be much better but you'll still have slighted teams.

Yeah FSU had no chance for a title. Defenses have never won a National Championship. Alabama is never shut down on offense.....at least after trying 3 QBs and settling on Milroe. They blasted A&M 26-20 and Arkansas 24-21.

I get it. Good defense is boring and it could expose some questionable offensive talent

Their defense played great against a weak schedule.
They averaged 90 yards passing in their last 2 games.
Michigan showed what happens to a team with a good defense and no offense. And Iowa would likely destroy FSU in their current state

I doubt Iowa could destroy anybody. They have a fantastic D but their O is no better than FSU today.

And won both. I get it. Fans want to see great games. Let's see if that actually happens. The flaw prior to the CFP was teams had to settle it on the field. Now the fault is a committee that makes the selections. First time ever a undefeated power 5 conference champion has been screwed. And I'd bet it's the first time a #8 team leaped into the CFP despite 4 teams over them winning.

And I ask, if Georgia had won over Alabama but the QB broke his leg would they have been passed over? Answer? Not on your life.

They could extend the playoffs to 10 teams and there would still be fans crying foul and acting like this team and that team are victims. Can't please everyone. Life ain't fair.

Not a bad choice. There are things he can work on plus he's rolling the dice next years QB class isn't as stacked as this one is. Not sure about that haven't looked into it though.
