And a possible option for a team looking to trade a QB. In a be careful of what you wish for sitch, a QB like Goff would absolutely shred it playing behind that line.
I 100% dont want Goff out of town, just saying it could be a landing spot if McVay does

I mentioned that earlier today.

You think we could get a 1st from indy? If not what?

Also mentioned if there was a chance Andrew Luck would unretire even though LA probably not his cup of tea and he is very financially secure without football.

Then we're in trouble because our receivers have reached their ceilings in terms of what they're being asked to do. And jefferson is a clone of them both so he's not gonna add that playmaking element that Mcvay just admitted they lost when they traded cost (in his exit interview)
Van Jefferson was a draft mistake for multiple reasons. Clone of what we got a route runner and this year he sucked. Should have never been drafted we should have taken a ilb or oc he was at best a #3 receiver. They knew they were paying Woods and Kupp. His Florida stats say he was a big under achiever on a great team 6th in the country.

I do believe both Kupp and Woods were signed in Sept and the draft was in April. They were probably not sure they could sign them both. He has potential to be a starter in the future.

Checking out who they seem to think should be there at 58 for us in the draft and lo and behold...

View attachment 43101

Can you say destiny??? Ok I know we'll have someone take him in front of us but this dude will rarely get bulldozed...

I wouldn't have a problem trading one of our 3 third round selections to move up a couple spots to get this guy.

Looks exactly like what we need.

Someone who won't get overpowered at the point of attack (Blythe's biggest weakness) and can bulldoze linebackers from time to time.

It's not that he sucked. I think he was good when on the field. But he is a clone. That's what hurts him. No diversity in our receiver group.

I think people are counting out Jefferson way too quickly. The kid has more top end speed than Woods or Kupp. He was a rookie who had no pre-season, a shortened training camp, buried on a veteran roster, and had foot surgery for a Jones fracture in the offseason that probably laid him up for two months that he had to rehab from.

Having said that, Reynolds is probably gone so I'm all for finding more speed from somewhere but we don't have the draft capital to get a blue chip player so anyone we bring in will probably be raw and spend a year or two buried on the roster also. I'm excited to see what Jefferson brings next season.

I agree.
I know who I’d draft if they are there in the 3rd.

Im dreaming but Will Fuller or Kenny Golliday would provide a nice physical deep threat to our WR corp that we don’t currently have.

Will Fuller seems to get hurt too much. Or is he healthy again?
