Got this idea from a Dane Brugler pinned tweet. His was prospects he thought he'd be higher on than most. Mine includes some of that, but is mostly the players I like the most (to date). Players I would be thrilled to see in Rams Horns.

2026 (to date, in no particular order)
Caleb Downs, S
Kenyon Sadiq, TE
Derrick Moore, Edge
Omar Cooper Jr.*

*Went from Tyson to Concepcion to Lemon to Omar Cooper Jr.

The names change through the pre-draft process, but here’s who I settled on in April in past years.

2020
Chase Claypool, WR

2021
Creed Humphrey, Center
Tommy Tremble, TE

2022
George Pickens, WR

2023
Jahmyr Gibbs, RB
Hunter Luepke, FB

2024
Brock Bowers, TE
Quinyon Mitchell, CB
Late shift from Edge Laiatu Latu to Edge Austin Booker

2025
Colston Loveland, TE
Went from Jack Bech to Jayden Higgins & Jaylin Noel, WR

He runs a good 40 and the draftnik medial scouts will be talking about him with Tyson, Lemon, and Tate, IMO.

The idea of drafting a Center is an annual topic.
I wanted Zach Frazier a couple drafts ago. The steelers always seem to get that one right. They seemed to have had almost as few Centers as HCs over the years.

Kamari Lassiter was another. Really saw him as a 1rst rounder to come in and play CB. Some pushback ensued following my mock, LOL. He’s starting for one of the top defenses in the league.

I’ve liked several TEs the last 2-3 years but the Rams have always went another direction.
I will say though, the only time I can recall wanting a player and the Rams drafting him right where I thought he would be was Tyler Higbee.

…then there’s all of the times I’ve been wrong. I’m talking a bunch.

My main guy went back to Oregon so I'll go with some others.

ILB Jacob Rodriguez
S Xavier Nwankpa Iowa
NT Zxavian Harris Ole Miss
WR Caullin Lacy Louisville

Rodriguez is one I've liked for a long time and he's getting a lot of hype from his combine performance. To me he's the perfect compliment to Landman.

Nwankpa is a day 3 guy who could have an big impact early like a lot of the day 3 picks we've had. He'll contribute on teams immediately.

Zxavian is that big ass NT we need to rotate with Poona. We all know what the run D looked like when Poona went out this guy should prevent that and keep Poona fresh.

Last guy is likely an UDFA but he's a return man and a damned good one probably second to Kaden Wetjen. He's a smaller guy who's been really reliable/durable so not sure he ever becomes more than a 6th WR/returner but he would be exciting returning kicks and punts.

Come to think of it. Who was the last above average kick and/or punt returner on this team?

Surely it wasn't Danny Amendola or the Az Hakim / Tory Horne combination from decades ago was it?

Probably under McVay it would be Pharoh Cooper, who put together a very good year until....
...Well you know.

I don't have 4 of my guys just yet this year, but 3 of them are:

D'Angelo Ponds, CB - Not as concerned as some with his size. He has more dawg in him then any other CB this year IMO. Tackles and defends like a much bigger player. I don't see how he fails at the next level.

Makai Lemon, WR - His game is everything I love about Pukas'. He also may have more speed. Just another dawg on the field.

Jacob Rodriguez, LB - He is everywhere on the field and his athletic testing was far better then expected. Damn near elite agility scores and the rest were above average and plenty for the NFL. Size might be a concern, but has everything else you'd want.

This guy has the appearance of a draft riser. He is listed in the consensus mock draft database at #60 but I'm betting he's a potential late 1st or early 2nd pick.

Here is my list of 4 guys I don't want...

1) I don't want any small guys. Tired of inside LB weighing 220 pounds. Tired of D-lineman that are under 300. And tired of the small corners. Should I mention tutu?

2) I don't want guys that have nothing between the ears. This is something that is hard for us to predict because we can't see the interviews or speak to his college coaches. Fortunately, Snead and the scouting department usually get it right. I can't remember the last guy getting released because he "wasn't the right fit"). Unless you count Pooh Paul from last year who was only a 5th round pick anyway.

3) I don't want any more slow guys. Not to say McSnead likes them slow, but I would like to see more team speed especially on the offense (right Mojo?) and, in particular... WR, then TE or RB.

4) I don't want a Center, a RB, a LB, a Kicker, or a Punter in the first 4 rounds.

I take comfort in the fact that Snead and McVay have been outstanding in picking players and can't wait to see their selections.

If it makes us better, it shouldn’t matter what they take. If Love fell, they shouldn’t pass. If Styles falls, they shouldn’t pass

Agree with all but #4.

I want a LB in the first 3 rounds. Unless they address in FA. We don’t have a R4 pick.

ILB: Styles represents a massive upgrade for our defense but he's gonna be off the board. This is a fine class though. Rams may finally find a gem, there are options.

WR: Boston fits into the rest of the Rams offensive pieces like a glove. Ideal mix of what we need out wide. 4 drops in 4 years. Heidenreich is a buy-low and late round swiss army knife. I like a ton of these guys but Boston early and Heidenreich late are two of my favorites.

CB: Johnson is my huckleberry. Physical, sticky, and ball aware.

DL: McDonald and Hunter are the power additions this defensive front needs.

OT: Iheanachor had a strong Senior Bowl week and won't need to go high. My favorite for the swing role.

ST: Wetjen will be coveted for his return ability. He will be a late round impact pick for some lucky team.
