@ScotsRam

Hey... my friend from the UK brought this for me yesterday. He said this is a favorite in Scotland. Is this true?

And... what does it taste like? I'm thinking he could be trying to pull a fast one on me and get me to taste some nasty shit.

Brudda- that is good shit right there! Make sure it's cold. We drink it as a hangover cure.

Scotland is one of the only countries in the world where Coke is not the no 1 selling soft drink brand. In Scotland, its Irn Bru.

They call it fruit flavour, but it tastes like nothing else on earth.

I'll save it for my next hangover now that you've shared this. Sounds great. I may get extra shit faced tonight just to test it out... LOL

If it really tastes like nothing else on earth this will be fascinating.

Ha ha no funny business this time. Ask your pal to get you some Tizer as well, that’s another drink made by Barr.

I shared these yesterday in the Game Day Menu thread, but I thought to post em here too.

I made some NE style clam chowder with fresh clams. It turned out incredible and I am looking forward to having more tonight because foods like this usually taste better the next day. The pics don't do it justice.

Let me just say... I love clam chowder, but when it's made with fresh live clams... Holy Fucking Shit Man. I had some real clam chowder lovers over who said it was the best they had ever eaten. I'm shocked I have some left because they were going back for 3rds+. I made a giant cauldron of it though thank God.

Here's a shot of the clams going through cleaning.

You can't really see much here but this is the chowd in the pot cooking.

Here's my second bowl yesterday. I top it with fresh fried bacon only, but the rest of my crew also added the oyster crackers too.

Yeah... Not a fan of oyster crackers. Starches it up too much.

Chowder looks killer my brudda. And yeah... You can't beat fresh clams for a chowder. The flavor and the texture is night and day.

My bride took me to what is largely known as a biker bar here for brunch before my birthday. Y'know... I get a birthday weekend. :biggrin:

Anyway, this place had an amazing eggs Benedict. 3 eggs, spinach, pile of thinly sliced ham, on a croissant. On the side, red potatoes and onions. The hollandaise has a touch of sherry in it and was spot on. Best Benedict I've had in some time.

@OldSchool ...You've probably been there but if not, it's PJ's. You definitely need to try it.
