Went to one of the oldest restaurants in the Keys last night. It's where the locals go and it has a different sushi lineup daily depending on their catch. It started out back in 1951 as a place that would steam up the shrimp directly off the shrimp boats for the shrimpers and serve them ice cold beer.

Last night they had an African Pompano special that we were lucky to get. The roll was lightly fried on the outside. It was an explosion of flavs... plus, African Pompano is a rare treat to eat.

It's what's for breakfast. Tri Tip reheated from last night, ranch fresh eggs, English muffins (one with cinnamon and sugar).

Wow Dan-o

That crust looks excellent too.

My wife knows how to meld flavours well on pizza, and her forte is in this way... non traditional pizza combos.

The stuff she comes up with, I’d never think of.

Around here... pineapple is frowned upon by some... but she uses a lot of “offensive things” like that. :D

So all credit there. She baked this one. (y)

She is a pizza artist, and I’m hardly kidding.

So.... My wife has started baking. She found a recipe for Heath Bar cookies and I had her use kosher salt instead of table salt and add a touch more along with a little additional vanilla.

The cookies are absolutely killer. But dip them in some Papa's Pilar 24? Total decadence. OMFG!!! And don't mind the little jar as a dipping glass. It was the best fit for the sudden impulse. Man... Imagine if I was stoned. :ROFLMAO:

I haven't been there. I think that's in Key Largo? We are always futher down in the middle Keys.

I like people who don't like seafood. It leaves more for me! :p

The restaurant I was talking about there is in Marathon... called Castaway.

That’s nice! I’m looking at the potato/egg there... that’s even finished nice. (y)

I’m a big fan of potatoes with breakfast too.
Homemade shredded potato hash browns, topped with over medium fried eggs. Then, pour catsup over the top! Mix everything together, and It's freakin' heaven! (no, I don't intend blue font, culinary biatches!)

Thanks. I baked the egg in with the hash. Didn't have any chives but scallions work. Potato and egg breakfast tacos are good too.

Sometimes I include tobasco if want a kick.
Try a dollop of medium or hot salsa and get rid of that rotted tomato slop.

C'mon man. This thread is called Food Porn, not Food for Children.
