We are getting ready to go full liquor in our Brewpub and I thought maybe a few of you had some suggestions on your favorite drinks.

We will be doing mainly specialty drinks not things like gin and tonics or rum and coke.

So here's a couple of ours:

Cardinal Sin
1 part Tanguerey
1 part cranberry cocktail
1/2 part Chinese five spice infused simple syrup
Lime squeeze
Shaken and served in Martini glass

Tuaca Drop
1 part Tuaca
1/2 part Vodka
1/2 part Orange Juice
1 part Cranberry
Orange slice
Shaken and served in a Martini glass

What you got?
 
I made up a drink at this bar in Germany I used to go to a lot. Horrible idea....

"Bloody Condom"
1 shot vodka
1 shot rum
1 shot tequila
1 shot whiskey
1 shot gin
Sprite
Grenadine

Think there was another shot in it but can't remember what it was.

Didn't taste the best but a couple of those and you were good.


Can I add Irish Car bomb too? lol jkjk
 
I think it's important to have a good margarita. Everyone gets in the mood for one at times.

We go to a really cool restaurant here in Winter Park that has quality tequilas. One of their margaritas (the one that I crave and love) has cayenne pepper around the rim of the glass instead of salt. So fucking good. You can order it with whatever kind of tequila you like and of course choose either frozen or on the rocks.


This may be a little too much, but we have brunches at out our house from time to time and we like to set up a bloody mary bar. We put out a large variety of items... fresh squeezed tomato juice and a quality pre-made store bought brand (we like Zing Zang),,, fresh horseradish ,,, a quality worcestershire sauce ,,, various hot sauces ,,, fresh ground pepper ,,, varieties of olives ,,, several types of pickles ,,, fresh cut long pieces of celery of course. Quality vodkas.


Another drink that I will sometimes order (usually when it's hot and I'm in an outside setting) goes by several different names... "The Pain in The Ass" or "A Miami Vice" and I think there are a few more I can't remember,,, it's a drink made with half strawberry daiquiri and half pina colada (don't mix them, layer one on top of the other) and add a shot of 151 on the top.


Whatever you do, you better have some Capt Morgan behind the bar.

Well, take any kind of anything and mix it with Captain Morgan, don't use any other kind of rum, it's just not right.
 
I prefer whiskey, sometimes over ice, sometimes not. Sometimes with coke, but mostly not.

The Bloody Mary bar sounds interesting. Not sure how we'd pull it off in a bar setting. We've done similar things at home. I have a pretty damn good margarita recipe that I make but I have to figure out how to scale it down to a single glass. Shouldn't be too difficult. I will actually probably offer 3 or 4 types of margarita - including one with fresh muddled Habenero. That one has to be on the rocks - so good.

Have to think about that half n half idea. I'd be running dueling blenders behind the bar. Might have to whip out my banjo. But I gotta say, it sounds like something with which to get the wife happy.

I'm sure I'll have Capt Morgan behind the bar and will end up making some rum and cokes for all you boring people. :p But I will also be doing a lot of infusions, simple syrups, and tinctures to really be able to throw down some unique blends.

You guys open for football? Perfect. Couple bloody marys to help get the sea legs back before they tie on another.
 
Make sure you get Tito's vodka. Is made in Texas and its the only vodka I drink. Its rated higher than the big names.....check it out it'll be worth it.

We have a couple distilleries around here so even though Tito's may be the bomb, we're no doubt going to sell more if we keep with the locals. Besides, I try to buy local any chance I get. Doesn't mean I'm not going to look for Tito's so I can try it myself.;)

Not doubting you but I'm also not a big vodka guy so I'm not sure it will be for me but I'll give it a try if it's available out here. Wow... lot of small words there.

We have state run liquor stores out here and we have to buy from them. Our selection can be somewhat limited at times. I know of one liquor store that we deliver beer to that would be the only ones that might have it.

Never had it but it certainly has gotten a good reputation.
 
Yep. Tito's is not available in Oregon. But a real good guy would send me some. Just sayin'
 
I prefer a Myer's Dark Rum over Captain Morgan any day.

Myer's and diet Coke...Scotch on the rocks...whiskey and diet...vodka and water with a lemon wedge...a bloody mary (preferably a homemade recipe, spicy with a hint of dijon mustard is my favorite).

Man. All these people drinking diet soda. That aspartame will kill you. I know it doesn't taste as good but Pepsi One has no aspartame. Just trying to help.

Interesting on the Dijon idea. Think I'll have to try that. Vodka and water I'm not too sure about. I thought that was what the ice was for.:sneaky:

I do love a good Bloody Mary on football Sundays, and margaritas are my wife's favorites

Meh...hardly ever drink soda anymore. Pepsi One doesn't just "not taste as good"...that stuff is just nasty. The Coke Zero is a much better tasting product, not sure if it has aspartame or not but just saying as a like product...

I'm confident I am consuming far worse things than a few diet sodas once or twice a month.
