Well, this thread had a nice run. Frankly, I'm astonished it's lasted this long.
I thought it was pretty well-behaved all in all. No topic football or not lasts long without losing direction and the onset of uncomfortable dialog. Well, the celebration thread is usually well behaved............usually

I've never played it. I might go to a goff range soon & hit a bucket of balls. Do you like to play Goff? I'll bet some other posters on here do. I have to Warner you though, you could Bulger a disk.

Nothin strawman about it. You were the one that brought up ESG and Andrew Yang. So i looked it up and responded accordingly. Pretty obvious what's going on there. Found nothing related to Yang tho.

Yeah, it's very obvious what's going on there. One would have to be willfully blind not to see it. :laugh1:

As for Yang, he wrote a book that discussed his Digital Social Credit scheme. Maybe you didn't look very hard to discover that. Or maybe you just didn't want to find it -- and I can hardly blame you for that. :laugh1:

Ok, you can have the last word.

Anybody watch the show "Person of Interest"? Man I loved that show
hmmm will check that out
ever watch "The Bureau"? about the French DGSE? very, very enlightening, it's French w/ subtitles but if you ever want a "behind the scenes" look at how major world intelligence agencies operate, check this show out. Some of the most riveting TV I've ever watched.
Major point of the show: Field agents don't even have to directly effect a result they're looking for; all they have to do is make the conditions just right, so that the results they want are inevitable. They could, for example, effect an assassination, with a perfect fall guy, buttoned up, no loose strings, and no way to tie it back to a field agent. This happens in the show.

Crime is still crime, even if they don’t prosecute and reduce felonies to misdemeanors, and misdemeanors to citations. Reducing violent offenses to non violent offenses is equally important. As a father of two young children, safety is of utmost importance.

I hope you feel the same way about your friends and loved ones, and I hope they’re never victims of crime @Kupped
Reports of crime are reports of crime. Not charges or convictions. Again.. Data.
Safety is importance. So is mental health. That's why it's important to be clear headed and have a real understanding of risks/dangers that are around us, versus narrative-induced panic.

It was a great show until the 4th season

It really dragged on the plot point in those season. It was like okay we have a computer trying to take over the world that some people were calling GOD and lets do over 30 episodes stating how dangerous it is. If they had done just 12 episodes or so on that plot, I would have been fine with it.

Yeah - just think your vote might not count & elections might be a farce like other places in the world.

Go to most American Airports & say. Cheese. You give your ID & then gave to look into a camera.

I wonder if AI is going to know what I’m thinking next. It’s not like goggle, apple,or Amazon aren’t always in your house knowing when your talking a dump(twrecks).
That's why I drive.
