I'm so glad that after such an amazing career and an extended period of being one of the best, if not the best, safeties in the league this guy finally gets his chance to shine AFTER retiring. What an amazing Super Bowl story on a team with a ton of great stories.

You weren't wrong to be concerned tbh. When he joined us the other year he had one foot out the door and after that concussion you could see he was going out of his way to not stick his head in there or sellout the body to make stops.

But this guy, the one who has had some time to roast on that retirement track, is a different beast altogether. This Weddle is playing with reckless abandon. We're getting all he has.

And it's beautiful. Very thankful that the Rams brought him back because for one thing I've always been a fan of his, but also because after losing Fuller to have this guy step in as well as Scott to keep this secondary in games has been I don't want to say a miracle but it's been a bit miraculous. Strength of the Rams defense is the defensive front, but right now we're getting good balanced games from the unit as a whole in large part to the depth getting it done at safety.
It just blows my mind, that he was concerned with sports his kids were playing...Doing the Mr. Mom thing a little bit, and then he gets a call from Sean McVay and he's taking snaps the following weekend. That effing blows my mind that ANY human could do that in todays age. How special will it be to see him get a ring after being retired for two years? Insane!

Yeah they got to get this done man. Have to. Look at the list of guys who want that ring and deserve it.

Cincy has a game ahead of them lol. And I know they're up for it but still.

If your phone rings, get ready, McVay might give you your Big Chance...

Sean called me yesterday to see if I was up to joining them for the Super Bowl. I declined because I already invited guests over that day and had to entertain. He totally understood. Great guy!

Yeah it really is storybook stuff. If the Rams pull this off I have to think it's gonna be a movie at some point for that reason. What a time to be a Rams fan eh?
Right there with you on that thought. I was thinking Underdog 2 or maybe a more clever name.

Weddle is indeed a great "feel-good story" leading up to the super bowl championship. And the Rams have several others that deserve a ring... Donald, Whitworth, Kupp, Stafford, Ramsey, and McVay,. Not too mention SoFi stadium! It just seems like this year is the Rams year. I hate to sound confident... we'll see. But Weddle has been amazing. He's playing better than he did when he last played.

For good reason. Signing a safety who wasn't good enough 2 years ago to get us through the playoffs was a crazy move.

The fact it has worked out is almost crazier. But I give Weddle, the rest of the secondary, the pass rush, and the coaching staff to include Morris who sounded like the ring leader on this plenty of credit. It's miraculous how well he and Scott have paired.
